I'm not going to sit here and tell you that I think Tennessee is the best team left in the field as that would be both naive and nonfactual. They have had a lot of ups and downs this season between the big wins on the court and the big losses off of it. No matter how you slice it, though I like the position they're sitting it to make a serious run at this thing. Pearl is a good coach and gets that team up to play big games. I'm not saying I expect them to beat tOSU, but I wouldn't be surprised. If that happens you really have to like their chances against NIU or MSU.

What about UT?
Everybody is still talking about the Kentuckys and Dukes of the world as the team to beat, but I haven't heard the first whisper about the only team in the country this year to knock off two #1s and is still alive in a wide open region.

Re: What about UT?
Tournament play is different than regular season. Ask Kansas. When UT beats someone of consequence in the tourney, then we can start to make a fuss about them.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: What about UT?
Tenn is way too inconsitant to win 4 more games in a row against good competition.
And like the poster above said they have not played anyone yet, they have had the two easiest games by far.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

Re: What about UT?
Yeah they are really inconsistent. They beat Kansas and Kentucky, but then they've also lost to Kentucky by 30. Which team will show up?Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: What about UT?
SDSU was a cakewalk?
Honestly, I and many other people thought SDSU would beat Tennessee.
Sure, Ohio was a gift, but like mentioned before, Tennessee's two wins over Kentucky and Kansas show that, on a given day, they can beat anyone. Unfortunately, they're susceptible to losing to anyone as well.Comment

Re: What about UT?
We have beat the teams we were supposed to beat in the tourney so far. The biggest problem with UT this year is that they are very Bipolar and you never know which team will show up. Also the two big wins of the season against KU ad UK were at TBA where the Vols play very well against great opponents. I think we beat OSU because of our bench and hopefully a great defensive showing by Prince to slow down Turner. Should be a good game.Comment

What's with all the infighting between Prince and Chism? I've seen it on TV int he tourney, I saw it while at the SEC tourney in Nashville and I saw it when UT came to Starkville late in the year. What gives with these two guys? You think the attitudes are what cause the inconsistent play?
I know one guy said Tenn hasn't beat anybody, and while that may be a popular opinion I would disagree with that. At this point in the tourney only the 1s and 2s should have had the easy roads so far. Villanova is a wash because everybody knew going in they were seeded too high, but I bet Kansas would disagree.
Any team is capable of going out and laying an egg at anytime. Hell, look at Northern Iowa, one of their 4 loses so far this season came to 9-21 Evansville.Golf: Bubba
