I use smoke grenades on my assault class most of the time...although last time I used it Sam didn't seem to like it
...I think spots don't go away because we were getting killed through the smoke -_-. I love to use it in a last desperate attempt to get an MCOM...I wish that they would get rid of the symbol for the MCOM if it is on it...would make it a lot more effective.
