SCEA, praying you guys announce a 3rd patch :)

I'm hoping and praying SCEA announces a 3rd patch around the time opening day starts. Just to fix some of the problems like the trop freeze, not being able to get past a certain date of franchise mode, the ameutur draft potential players to many A's, ect. I really feel that if there isn't a 3rd patch to fix some of these final issuses some people will not be able to play a full franchise especially thoses of us who doesn't want to control all 30 teams. I'm not getting all over the dev's back, i love this game, I'm obssesed with this game i just want to be able to play a full season.

I have never drafted a "A" potential player in the draft but yea, I know what you're saying. There's many problems I noticed but can't think of that could be fixed. I am sure since the online games aren't registering there is gonna be a third so just relax and be patient. I heard these guys were on vacation so when they get back they'll handle it.

Trop freeze...I'll give you...that sucks..even with the work around.
Franchise freeze...you gotta leapfrog saves bro...you can't just keep overwriting one save...just for this. It's so random...they might not be able to track down the cause. This one's 50-50.
Too many A's in the draft. Myth. Check out the thread some guy made about this and the 5 year franchise sims(10 of them)...I did to specifically check on this. Not an issue IMO.(there is a franchise save linked in the thread for guys to check out if they like)

Yeah i knew they are on vacation(well deserved)i was just saying i was hoping some of these would be fixed. The dev team is doing a hell of a job though. 2 patches in two weeks, AMAZING.

I think the draft grades is a myth also.( Bout time I agree with you Knight ) I only am playing 1 franchise so far, just getting ready for Knights rosters and I let the Cpu draft and hardley any SP where taken i.e. about 7? and some where A's but not enough to mess up a franchise. I do agree though, 1 more patch would do the trick.

Yeah, I started out a season with the Rays the day this game came out, only to be bitten a couple times by the Trop Freeze. Said the hell with this ish. Quit that season, and started one with the Rangers. I guess Im gonna have to simulate that 4 game set at the Trop in a month or so. Either that, or use the workaround. Im glad the Rays arent "my real team". I am a lifetime (35 years) Royals fan. Stop laughing.

I thought not being able to get past a certain date in franchise is roster related on CPu teams?? Can't we fix this ourselves when it happens?

It must be when player gets hurt or traded or something and the CPU rosters then go out of whack with the incorrect number of players on each roster....Correct?

Yes...tbarnes found this....and yes you can fix it.
But I was referring to it for guys who aren't controlling 30 teams.
I use 5 different saves and just keep rotating them from the furthest back as I save each time. That way...if there is a problem in my save...I'm not redoing too much if I use an earlier one.
My motto thanks to TOO MANY disasters when editing rosters...save early...save often.

you're franchise has enjoyed 1 more WS victory than the Cubs in the last 100 yrs

I'd still like to see some TLC be given to Manager Mode or some of the other modes of The Show (besides the basic game play) that make it such a fun game.

I disagree with this based on your own information for year 4 and 5. Plus 10 of pitchers over hitters to me is is poor, now if years 6 or 7 were the opposite then its fine but i found years 4 and 5 troubling based on the small sample.

No...I didn't say +10 in pitchers over HITTERS...I said there were + 10 A potential pitchers in year 2016 over how many A potential pitchers there were in 2010...so the attrition rate is nearly identical to the growth rate.
The roster started with 195 in 2010 and there were 205 in 2016.

Year 3- pitchers 26, position 12
Year 4- Pitchers 18, position 10
Year 5- pitchers 19, position 5

That is roughly +10 or higher each year.

Yes...but you HAVE to factor in how many guys retired, no?
The game is "keeping balance"....
Now I wasn't checking for the position players...since guys were crying over 50-60 new A pitchers coming into the league...but they neglected to mention that 40-50 left.
That was my point.
However, it can still be troubling to you if you like....but my fake position player leading the league in homers in 2017 isn't buying it.
