A way to hide square button and d-pad up?

If ther's not, may I start a petition for them being removed in 11? Do they serve any purpose?

Square is for power swing so no it won't be removed. You don't have to use it and it shouldn't be your primary method of swinging but can be useful in a hitters count with a power hitter at the plate.

There isn't a way you can hide square though unfortunately which I don't understand. They don't have an X on the screen for contact swing.

Not sure on D-pad up, I believe that brings up the quick menu which I rarely use.

      Have you even tried these?

The D PAD UP brings up the quick menu where you can go to your bullpen/visitors pen, etc., etc. etc. and is something we've been asking for that they put in last year. This way you don't have to press the PAUSE button. But if you must start a petition.......

Sorry, I didn't make myself understood. I didn't ask what the buttons are for, my question was ironic, meaning, do the icons of a square and dpad (now I add L-stick and R2 on the other side of the screen) serve any purpose when I know very well the controls of the game? OK?

This is like the 3rd time I've read on this board that someone wanted the power swing removed from the game because they didn't use it lol.

It's like saying you want RTTS removed or online removed because you only play franchise.

I'm not sure you understand what ironic means.

Again, I don't want power swing removed at all. I want the icons at the corner of the screen removed....

Ooops you're right, I'm confused. How do you say when you make a question that does not imply an answer?

                    Rhetorical.

Examples of irony would be rain on your wedding day or a free ride when you've already payed.

Ahh ok I gotcha. I agree with you then. Like I mentioned before it makes no sense to have the power swing button there. There isn't an X button for contact swing so why have a icon on the screen for power. We can turn off a lot of other aid's you figure we could have this option as well.

Good, I know the meanings, however it happens sometimes to me that the right adjective doesn't come to my mind.

But really isn't the first one more of a coincidence?

But to get back on topic. Yeah, I don't see any harm in making it an option to hide them.

I don't think you guys are understanding this poor fellow (whose first language doesn't seem to be English?).

He wishes there was a way to remove the prompt from the screen that tells you what those buttons do. That is to say, he wishes there was no HUD (heads-up display) for gameplay controls, because he already knows how to play.

                            Hope that helps.

                              Nice examples Alanis.

To the OP, if it's really that big of a deal just play on Rookie, then you won't see the power swing icon
