player potential?

ive looked everywhere in franchise and cant find player potential, i even bought inside edge and everything ... whats the deal? and how do i scout?

Im not 100% sure this is what your looking for but if you go to edit player it is at the top of the batting/pitching ratings screen.

so you cant look at the potential of another teams player?

and by potential i mean if you have a 20 year old player, do you know if he is gonna be amazing or average.

Yep, you have to go into edit player to see what their potential is. All you have to do is turn "Edit CPU Rosters" ON and then you can go find out what the potential of other teams players is if you want. It should be under "Franchise Options".

In the draft you can't even see the players potential, so it's blind drafting basically.

I know this doesnt make the game fun,but letting the cpu draft for you, they usually will draft the high potential players.It kinda sucks though.
And how come all the pitchers out of the draft have such horrible pitch ratings even if they are 70ish overall,pitchers never progress in this game so they are worthless unless you edit them yourself.
