    Trade proposals dissapearing?

I have made numerous attempts to trade Matt Stairs for Joel Zumaya in which the comp is highly in favor of the trade. It then says it will take a few days to get back to me. When I turn my PS3 off and then turn on later, the trade proposal is gone. Am I doin something wrong?

    Thanks

I do alot of trading myself.

The trade (even though the team you're trading with seems ready to make the deal) is not going through.

    Try checking your email inbox.

I bet you have an email stating: Trade Rejected

By the way, that is a pretty one sided trade...I wouldn't do it if I was Detroit.

What team is Matt Stairs on now?

I believe Stairs on the Padres now. Don't quote me on that, though. This post is right on. The trade was most likely rejected, ESPECIALLY since it was an aging pinch-hitter for a young flamethrowing reliever. My understanding is that, if you have instant trades turned OFF, like you do, the trade bar is completely irrelevant and has no bearing on whether the trade will be accepted or not.

I know what your talking about. Every time i play a franchise game , and then make some proposals. I turn the game off(i save it). When i turn it on later and start my franchise the trade proposals are gone. I think you have to make proposals play a game then save it(auto save after game), not sure though.

This just happened to me as well. No rejection, no acceptance, no nothing. The trade just vanished. I am pretty sure it would have been rejected anyway (I cheated and simmed ahead just to see what would happen), but when I turned the game off and then tried to play later, the trade was gone. It has happened for me every time so far that I have proposed a trade and leave the game. I think you have to play for 2 or 3 straight games without turning the game off for the trade to either be accepted or rejected. I don't have the time on the weekdays to play 2 or 3 games straight (usually get to play one in the morning and one in the evening). I guess I have to wait for the weekend in order to propose a trade. I will post this in the glitches thread as well.

I have noticed this, too. It seems, when I propose a trade, then save the game, when I go out of the franchise, and re-load it without exiting from the game, the proposed trade is still there. If I quit the game and go back to the XMB, then start the game again, and load up my franchise, the proposed trade is gone. Seems this happens with trades set to MANUAL, or AUTO.

This could be a huge problem for those of us that use the 30 team control, with trades set to auto. Not many of us can play 3 or 4 games in a row to allow a trade to be accepted or denied.

It is a problem. But I just proposed a trade, played six innings, than saved in game. Came back later and finished it up. I played another game(simed rest of games). Simed the fallowing days games (not mine). I started to play my game and the trade went through. So as far as i can tell you have to play 3 games at least for it to work. Either spend 3 hrs playing 3 games, or leave the PS3 on.

problem is, most of us don't have the time to do that. I guess, I can sim ahead to see if the CPU would actually accept it, then if they would, re-load, and "make" the CPU accept it. Not sure if this affects CPU trading, for those of us that only sim or play one day at a time.

ya, i had to do some simming ahead before i played 3 games in a row to get a idea of things.

I'm having the same problem. Did anyone figure out a way to get the trade proposal to save without having to sim ahead and reload to force trades?

Matt Stairs for Zumaya? I think the AI in the game just laughs and makes it go away.
