Change up, it absolutely kills me. I'm either always early or I swing over the top of it.

12-6 curve on both sides of the plate.

I cant hit it to save my life, unless the pitcher leaves it right over the middle. Then it's still anyone's guess if I hit it, and where.

From the pitcher's side, I can't locate it to save my life. It's either a meatball dangling for the hitter to put in the upper deck, of in the dirt, usually causing a wild pitch.

I love the slider, though. My favorite pitch in a strikeout situation.

I don't know which pitch would be it for me when hitting. Maybe high fastball, but I've taken a few deep as well if I think it is coming...

When I'm pitching, it doesn't matter, once my confidence starts getting rattled then every pitch i throw ends up getting smacked

as a hitter, in the early counts a very low changeup ALWAYS gets me swinging and missing or weakly grounding out, but for some reason I can lay off it with 2 strikes, maybe because by that time i've seen it so i can adjust

in 2-strike counts, a nasty curve always gets me swinging at garbage way out of the zone or completely locks me up when it's down the middle......heh

I usually think fastballs are easier to hit than breaking balls, but high heat is one exception to that rule. I can still adjust to it sometimes, but not always.

Also, the thread title had me thinking batting too.

I would also have to say the 12-6 curve and the slurve. They catch too much plate and turn into a souvenir.

I can't throw a regular curve to save my life. I almost ALWAYS end up hanging it or missing by a mile. If I hang it, it's almost always crushed for a homer.

On the flip side, for whatever reason I can bury sliders in on hitters' hands all the time. And I'm deadly with a good change-up. But give me a guy who features the curve predominately and I'm totally lost.

Pared's in a couple of online leagues, isn't he? Ulterior motive, perhaps?

Anyway, mine is the high fastball. So much so that it forces me to alter the sliders (specifically pitch speed) to be able to handle it against the CPU. vs. other people is different - I can predict it and sit on it, but patterns are pretty hard to pick up against the CPU. It can throw me an 0-2 high fastball in the zone just as easily as it could bury one in the dirt.

Whoops, my bad, I thought you meant what pitch you get struck out on most. For pitching I'd have to say fastball, I fear throwing the fastball up in the zone because it always seems to get taken to the cheap seats.

LOL, I misread it too. I just assumed he was talking about hitting too.

Slider, definitely. Miss the timing with the meter on the wrong side and you can kiss it goodbye. High risk/reward pitch, because you'll get a lot of misses and foul-offs if you execute it right.

Pitching - Slider/Curve, I think it's getting close to 50/50 chance of me hanging it. Have to hold my breath and let out a sigh of relief after they foul it off.

Batting - High Fastball, or Low changup in the dirt. The changup always looks good because I like the low ball but it just falls off the table.

Change-up. I was up 2-0 last night when i served one up to Adam Dunn. Needless to say i lost.

Hitting: The slider. The late break always makes me think it will be a ball and then it slides into the strike zone, or it will look like it's down the middle and then run away at the last second.

Pitching: Probably either the slider or the curveball. I like throwing curves, but my pitchers aren't very good at them and so they usually end up way off target. Nothing beats the feeling of watching a batter go to tee off on a pitch, only to have it dive on him at the last moment for strike 3.

I also seem to give up more HR's off the slider than any other pitch. I played a game this morning that I ended up winning 4-3, but I gave up 3 solo HR's all off of my slider. Joe Mauer kept calling for the slider though, so I kept throwing it.
