How long does it take to play a game?

I had a 1-0 nail biter last night in a spring training game, and the game took about an hour. So how long does it take for you to play a game?

About an hour, depending on how close a game is. If it's a blowout, it may take longer.

In my experience, most games take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour. If it's a pitcher's duel then you might be able to get it done in 35 minutes.

Do you guys sim innings or something because my games take anywhere from an hour and a half to 2 hours. I play every pitch and every at bat.

My games take about an hour....but I usually skip through the batter walk ups, the cut scenes and the between innings stuff. If it is a blowout (either me losing by a lot or me winning by a lot) I will usually super sim to the end of the game.

Im jumping in the 1 hour band wagon, too.

That's the average it takes me, I noticed it when ever I save my games in the regular season.

Not a bummer but when you go to extra innings maybe 10 or 11 the end game time is 3 hours and something minutes ..it should be like 4 or 5 hours. jUST SAYING

Re: How long does it take to play a game?

I'm finding that this year's games take slightly longer than last year. About 1:15-1:30 on average. If it's a close one and I'm really focusing on my bullpen, pitching carefully to certain guys, keeping guys close at first, etc., they can approach the two hour mark. What I love about this game is it doesn't feel long at all. It really keeps you in the game.

Not always. In real life there have been 9 inning games that have been in the 4.5 hour range, yet there have also been extra inning games that just barely eclipse 3 hours. Depends on the reason for why the game is going into extra innings. If it's because both starting pitchers and the bullpens are being strike throwing machines so nobody scores, then yeah, the game time will be quite small. If it's in extra innings because nobody can throw strikes and it's a 12-12 ballgame, then yeah, it should be approached 1/5th of a day.

When you have every option you can set to fast play they need to do away with having to watch the cpu throw the ball back to the cutoff man then to the pitcher, it drags on to long. I do enjoy playing a slower paced game at times but the non gameplay ball tossing and waiting needs to go in fastplay.

About 45 minutes. It's the only thing I don't like about the game. I turned user and cpu fouls to 0 and there are still a ton of them (and still tracks them, which makes no sense for fast play).

On the 11' wishlist thread I suggested an idea that would have every at bat start with an accelerated count to speed up the game. So some ABs start 2-1, some 0-1, some 0-2, some 3-1, etc etc etc, based on pitcher and hitter ratings.

This game is pretty much perfect except for the fact you can't get past 1 season.
