Re: How do I aim my hit ? MLB 10 The Show
Not really.
You can influence the direction you want it to go but the physics of the swing and the location of the pitch are all still very relevant.
You can't just aim to pull a ball and expect to do so with an outside fastball upon command.Comment

Short answer -- no, not really.
Long answer -- before you swing, you can flick the right stick in a direction, and that will INFLUENCE whether the ball goes that way.... but as was said above, much more important is your timing on the swing, where you have the left stick when you make contact (bat placement in the zone).
The physics are there if you are good enough ... if you swing late on a fastball away, you can hit it the opposite way.[Insert clever, personally-relevant, or cutting-edge remark, data, link, or picture]Comment

Re: How do I aim my hit ? MLB 10 The Show
Me personally, I don't use the right stick for direction. I've come to learn that the timing of the swing matters most in determining where on the filed the ball is directed.
For example, if you swing late with a right handed batter, the ball will go to the opposite side of the field.
Hope that helps.Comment

Re: How do I aim my hit ? MLB 10 The Show
There are three times I use the right stick:
1) Trying to hit a HR.
2) Placing a bunt.
3) Hitting to the right side to advance the runner.
But as always, it's much more about Timing and left stick placement.[Insert clever, personally-relevant, or cutting-edge remark, data, link, or picture]Comment
