But to answer the OP's question, they are going to use the same game engine. Using a whole new engine means they would have to start over with everything (every animation etc). OMT said last year that they can overhaul the engine and make changes to it, but creating a whole new game engine is out of the question, at least for this development cycle.
Agreed. It would totally blow if they did that because it would probably look like 07.
