CD event Feedback: What is your GAMEPLAY pet peeve?
OK, to get the ball rolling, I've got a little idea. Please post your SINGLE biggest "pet peeve" regarding the GAMEPLAY of NHL10. In other words, something that happens on the ice that drives you nuts. For example:
Got it? Remember, stick to what happens ON THE ICE please. Thanks.Originally posted by QbTags: None -

Mine is the same thing QB it makes defending harder than it should be.
In 2k it seems if im in good defensive position i can usually make a play of some sort but In NHL i cant .Last edited by JimmyDeicide; 04-01-2010, 12:50 PM. -

Bozos whose idea of playing defense is having their players dive and flop all over the ice to get in the way of the puck or my players. Ridiculous. This pertains to online play.

The CPU being able to change directions so quickly.
There's more but that's the first that comes to mind.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Try to be as specific as possible. "Lackluster AI" is quite vague, whereas something like "the CPU is too reluctant to shoot" is more what I'm looking for. I want specific items I can look for and/or point out at the event.Comment

Re: CD event Feedback: What is your GAMEPLAY pet peeve?
Kinda hard to describe but I'm sure most of us (if not all) have seen it, and that's when the puck gets dumped into the corner and you can't get possession of it right away. It's like you have to wait for a second before going to pick up the loose puck as it comes back off the boards instead of picking it up smoothly.
And another (forgive me if this isn't really a gameplay issue, but I don't know what other category it would go under) would be the lack of being able to set 4 on 4 OT lines. I hate when my #1 scoring threat is glued to the bench because a different (seemingly random) combination of forwards was sent out.Comment

The fact that the defense can skate backwards and poke check at the same time, and doing it over and over again. You can swipe and move backwards but a wiper strike going forwards over and over while skating backwards is redonkulous.
Also the goal celebrations, during my goal celebration I doubt that I would sprint into the net with my face against the crossbar doing some move, it would be in open ice, NOT into the goaltender's face.Comment

I hate how certain player builds can be impossible to take the puck from in online play.
Jack up your balance/puck control ratings, make your guy 5'7" 150 pounds, and it's basically impossible for defenders to take the puck from you.
I don't care how good your balance rating is, if a midget gets hit by a full-size defenseman, he should go down in a heap.
Size and weight should have a lot more of an impact on the game than they do now.Last edited by jyoung; 04-01-2010, 07:20 PM.Comment

Mine would be...
The AI controlled players are far too passive towards the puck carriers. Making it way too easy to just skate from end to end. Nearly always unchallenged.1969 NFL ChampionsComment
