Some of the ai concerns could just be the level he was on too, just like he said. It's easy to hold the cpu to under 30% completion when you play on rookie or pro in other games.

Not being able to take NFL teams or players online really sucks, no other way to put that.
someone correct me if I'm wrong, but this is what it seems like we know so far...

you can't take your team named Green Bay Packers online....but you can make that team for your offline games and franchise.

you can take your team named the GreenBay (one word) Packers online though....or GB Packers...

if you want your team colors and logos to be shown you have to add someone you play online as a "friend" and you will be able to see his NFL team and he will be able to see yours.

offline, it seems you can have whatever you want. correct full names and team names for your franchise...(which we didn't know before this preview)

online you need to add someone as a friend (if he isn't already) but you can quickly delete him as a friend after the game, if you choose.

Yeah this preview makes me not want this game anymore.
      MLB: Texas Rangers
      Soccer: FC Dallas, Fleetwood Town
      NCAA: SMU, UTA
      NFL: Dallas Cowboys
      NHL: Dallas Stars
      NBA: Dallas Mavericks

I own a band check it out

        Re: Gameinformer Preview

I like having good and negative previews to read as it allows me to decide what is more important to me. Some issues in Madden are huge issues to some, while those same issues dont mean anything to me and vice versa.

This actually sounded like a pretty honest assesment of the previewers experience with the game. The fact that he mentioned both positive and negative aspects are a breath of fresh air since I dont feel that there may have been an agenda , one way or the other.

It answered a lot of questions to me though.

What stands out to me the most is the issue of a lack of AI in the game. This can really make or break an experience no matter what type of game or genre you are playing, not just sports.

This game introduces new concepts and I appreciate the fact that another company is trying something new. However, I feel if they ignore some of the problems mentioned in this article, then all the good will be overlooked in favor of the bad. All the amazing graphics and tackles in the world mean nothing if the offense and defense dont play properly.

Yeah pretty much, just gotta edit team and player names I guess. File sharing appears blocked tho too. If you wanna create anything, you'll have to do it yourself.

no actually it is not available "in-game"...like MLB The Show's roster vault....

you would share rosters and teams like how we do NFL 2K5...you save it to a memory card and upload it online through your computer...

then someone can download it to their USB card and copy it over to their PS3/360.

its hard to judge the AI when he plays it in Arcade mode (which he chose for some reason)....as well as not knowing settings who, what type of teams he was going against....every team should not play the same.

can't wait till get my hands on the game to find out.

                  very true

you see the same kind of complaints(game is to easy;defense has holes and doesn't react; the game is a slug fest;etc..) with 90% of game demos, especially sports games when the settings are on easy/rookie.

...and it definitely doesn't make things better playing the game on arcade.

judging from what i have seen i'm sold.

I'm hoping NaturalMotion can take this critique and use it to mold their game.

On the other hand, I have read a ton of reviews about all sports games that follow the same line of thinking.

A reviewer will get a copy of the game, post their impressions, and then everyone picks them apart. It " could " be the level of play, it could be the "lack" of the reviewers skill, it " could " be an earlier build etc etc.

For the most part...and its been proven on numerous first looks spanning every sports game genre Ive played...what you see is usually what you get.

This has never been proven false I dont think.

I hope the developers take this preview in stride and start tightening this game up. There seems to be some great innovations here and I think we would all hate the game to be unplayable due to some of the problems mentioned here.

Ouch, after reading that review my hype went from 100 to 30$ :/

The AI sounds very stupid.. oh well.. ncaa is getting closer.

Man I had a feeling something like this would happen but, they could of at least gave us something. Also looks like the whole name editing rumor wasn't so far fetched after all. Smart move by NM.

Very disappointed in some of things I read but, I guess there were some some good things in there but, nothing really that grabbed my attention.

SMH at no customizing player heights and weights at ALL!

The one thing I like from the article

[ You can throw the ball without using focus, but I found the accuracy was severely compromised; balls flew all over the place with no rhyme or reason as to why they would be so unruly.]

About time we have throwing errors in a next gen football game.

Like I said before the AI make are break this game.

I don't get that either....I don't know if he explained it fully.

no custom player heights as in anything we want or is it limited to how tall or heavy you make players per position....

I mean, how would the game generate our custom teams?...would it do it randomly..hmm I don't think so....

so for now I'm just going to wait until getting more info....it could just not be "fully" customizable.

again, how would the game create players for us...will they all have the same height and weight?....from what we have seen there are different builds for the players....so are all the RBs the same height and build....no, we have seen different types of RBs....

I'm sure now that this is out the devs can comment on it more.

It wouldn't create players for us just a certain physical attribute(pending position) which wouldn't be very hard to make the computer do because, there don't seem to be hardly any differences between players anyway. I'm just sayin don't be surprised when we have absolutely/hardly any control over player height or weight.

I'm tired of waiting, I'm calling it right now. Might be wrong, might be right but I'm not going to hold my breath on this one.
