Re: Backbreaker Hands-On Preview (Gameinformer)
The 360 does in fact still have USB slots. However, I imagine the way that MS is going to set up USB use with the 360 is that, when an unrecognized USB storage device is added, a new partition is going to be created on the USB drive which will be formatted with the 360's proprietary file system in mind. Assuming that this is in fact the case, I don't think any 360 files will even be visible to Windows PCs until some special software to get around this limitation arises.Comment

what about hair and such will there be dreads? why would they leave out things that's surely going to hurt the game. the game devs truly do not understand totally custom. its always something you cant do that is critical to the game. what good is it to have forza system then have all the players look the same. how are you going to create darren sproels and have him look like branden jacobs. this is unacceptable and a game killer. can you see steven jackson or troy polamalu without their hair and imagine its them. why have to.Comment

I think George Steinbrenner is the owner of the league, hence no hobo beards or long hair is allowed for the players.what about hair and such will there be dreads? why would they leave out things that's surely going to hurt the game. the game devs truly do not understand totally custom. its always something you cant do that is critical to the game. what good is it to have forza system then have all the players look the same. how are you going to create darren sproels and have him look like branden jacobs. this is unacceptable and a game killer. can you see steven jackson or troy polamalu without their hair and imagine its them. why have to.
but seriously, it took other football games a while to do hair, this is their first game....I think they are concentrating on other things first.....heck, I'm surprised they have a franchise type mode....or 2 of them.....their development team is quite small.Comment

After having optimism for this game then pessimism, due to Nat. Mot. not providing much of any info on the game for quite a long time, then back to optimism when new info began to appear, I am back to pessimism cuz I have a STRONG feeling this game is going to suck, based on all the latest previews, and the tackles are the ONLY thing that is going to keep many people's attention, if just only for a minor bit of time.
Ok, the end.Just cuz you pour syrup on ish....Comment

Re: Backbreaker Hands-On Preview (Gameinformer)
The writer seemed like he was doing everything to not only compare BB to Madden but to show how in every way it doesn't compare to Madden so from the very beginning I was skeptical as to the validity of the review. The writer complained about certain aspects of the game all while fully stating he wasn't playing the proper game modes but merely speculating. I'll be honest, I was not happy with the write up on the article because it seemed VERY biased. The writer expects players to move with zero momentum and split-second responsiveness when in reality the sport - and the reason the entire Natural Motion exists - doesn't lend itself to that.
I will say that I am quite disappointed about some of the restrictions on the player and team customization in terms of names. It's not too big of a deal because I've learned to edit names with APF but I'd like if the dev team would not have been so over restrictive. Eh well. And I'm VERY disappointed with the fact there is no file sharing. Eh well, it seems like a game that will require a lot of Menu time and honestly, that's not that big of a deal seeing as how much I do so to begin with in other games with Roster & Team edit, Practice modes (APF & M10).Last edited by elgreazy1; 04-04-2010, 06:55 PM.Comment

Re: Gameinformer Preview
This is the way it is in the WWE wrestling games. They have 2 versions of a wrestler/team build and don't allow certain aspects onto online for policing purposes (ie: inappropriate images & names).someone correct me if I'm wrong, but this is what it seems like we know so far...
you can't take your team named Green Bay Packers online....but you can make that team for your offline games and franchise.
you can take your team named the GreenBay (one word) Packers online though....or GB Packers...
if you want your team colors and logos to be shown you have to add someone you play online as a "friend" and you will be able to see his NFL team and he will be able to see yours.
offline, it seems you can have whatever you want. correct full names and team names for your franchise...(which we didn't know before this preview)
online you need to add someone as a friend (if he isn't already) but you can quickly delete him as a friend after the game, if you choose.Comment

Re: Backbreaker Hands-On Preview (Gameinformer)
Arcade Mode on no telling what difficulty with his CPU opponent's offensive plays highlighted on the screen. OH NO!! 30% COMPLETION %!! GIMME SOME MADDEN!! (panic!)i was happy as you were, BUT.. after reading the part were it says the CPU couldn`t move the ball at all with a higher pass % of 30!! i felt saaaaaaaaaaaaad.
this is what i was saying all this long...when everyone were claiming this game would be great.
Tackles are only 1 part of football... what about the rest?.. it seems, it sucks. At least by reading GI preview.Comment

Re: Backbreaker Hands-On Preview (Gameinformer)
This game has been the hope of so many simply because it has for so long showcased the possibilities of Natural Motion's Euphoria engine. You can not overlook the glaring issues this preview talks about.
This game may have some pretty looking tackles, but I fear along the way they forgot they were making a football game and have been far too one dimensional.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment
