    Houston Astros Batting Stances/Pitching Deliveries

I'm a huge astros fan and ive noticed there are many team threads about players' batting stances and pitching deliveries, but ive yet to find out one dedicated to the astros. Since Houston hasn't been a very high profile team the last few years, A LOT of their players on the game have generic stances and deliveries, so i would like to know what stances or deliveries yall think would be best or what yall use. I'll post what I have, but im not sure these are the best options. Thanks all yall for the help

    Tommy Manzella-Clete Thomas

J.R. Towles-I've heard Ben Broussard, which is a generic stance, but i do not know which generic stance number it is?

    Humberto Quintero-?

Jeff Keppinger-I'm using Geoff Blum's stance, but not sure

    Jason MIchaels-Generic 43 i think...
    Cory Sullivan-?

    Jeff Fulchino-Generic ?

    Tim Byrdak-?
    Sammy Gervacio-?
    Matt Lindstrom-im using ted lilly
    Brandon Lyon-?
    Brian Moehler-?
    Chris Sampson-?
    Alberto Arias-?
    Bud Norris-?
    Felipe Paulino-?
    Chris Johnson-?

    Thank yall again.

Good luck with Gervacio, I don't think that one made it...
I don't like the Yankees, I like the Red Sox, I don't like the Lakers, I like the Celtics, I hate the Canadiens and I love the Bruins. Soccer is the best sport on Earth, but most Americans are too ignorant to realize it. I am American.

IMO, Carlos Marmol motion is OK. He falls off the mound and has that violent sidearmy motion.

I feel like the generic stance Towles has is close enough to his real stance but i'll check out the one your using.

Is Jason Michaels stance generic? I think it is his actual stance...I could be wrong.

I will check out Clete Thomas for Manzella...Thanks.

It's too bad there is no "Lima time" of delivery for Gervacio, he is very similar in his mannerisms..... Anyone else change Carlos Lee's stance? I just don't think it matches his....

Finally a topic for the Astros. I own 2k10 and am renting The Show 10 but the roster limitations of 2k are making me play The Show so i'm very happy to see this topic!

I concur! great to see some guys on here editing the Stros. I took some notes at the game yesterday and along with what I already have been using, I have a decent set of edits. I will take some notes and post a full list tomorrow for comparison. I am always intersted in other opinions!!

No doubt Gervacio will be impossible to get too accurate, but I thought Dotel (or Marmol) is fairly close.

yeah, getting sammy down will be impossible in this years game unless they come out with an update, but i think marmol has that sorta sidearm motion and falls on his front foot, like sammy does kinda. i havent looked at dotel, but what i remember from his days in houston that they are sorta similar, without the pre-windup routine. again, my batters are just roughly picked, but i do think they are a pretty good estimate to what the actual stance....but im still not sure about carlos lee. a lotta people say his stance is not right, and they suggested sandoval, but idk, im still havin trouble with pablo's stance too. if anybody just had houstons number 4 and 5 starters id be happy, cause i pitch with all the pitchers equally and buddy and felipe need a windup.

oh and does michael bourn possibly have a hidden stance...on the edit screen it says generic 1 but i dont think it shows him having the generic one stance when you play a game with the stros. anyhow, i still think gen 16 does a better job, hidden or generic 1. if you look at a replay of him standing at the plate, in the game, and then look at the camera angle from the mound, it looks identical to real life.

Do you think the stances I use in 2k10 would work the same? (Not the generic ones, the ones from other MLBers) Cause this one guy did stances for everyone, and 2k ended up using them as their stances now and i'm just wondering if they would be close to the same on here.

Thanks, I'll check these out. I am sticking with whatever the default stance is on Michaels cuz it looks like his stance IMO. I chose some generic stances for keppinger and johnson and both are bothering me. So thanks for the info.
