Madden shows what happens if you release info to soon tho, half their info from the blogs didn't make the game. That leads to distrust and out right dislike for the company. I'd rather it be left unanswered than answered with half truths and lies.

Do you really think they intentionally lied to a fan base?

How about some of the former fanbase considering that it might be in the game, but on a much limited basis then previous advertised instead of accusations of false advertising flying around?

Plus, I didn't bring up Madden in a BB thread,(thought the developers were trying to separate themselves from Madden, but it looks like that's not happening) but I'm like KB, not liking the mystery.

If that's the way you roll, that's fine, not the way I personally roll.

What does BB have to hide? They come out in about 5=6 weeks.

Thought BB wasn't competing with anyone according to the developers.

I don't want hype. I don't want marketing. I don't want comparisons to Madden or whatever else.

I want the truth of what BB can or can't do. Not interpretations of people who don't even tell the whole story of how they played the game. I mean, why didn't the previewer say what difficulty he was playing, etc.

                  But that's just me...

It's not a question of intentionally lying or not. The point I was trying to make was that Madden released info too soon. Things they promise like stadium sounds didn't make the game or don't work properly. Because of that, they probably lost me as a customer for their next game.

The BB team may be addressing things like injuries and snow and weighing what to do at the moment. Do they put snow in just to have it if it doesn't affect gameplay? Can they get injuries in the game still or is it too late? Can these things get addressed in patches?

Maybe the answer is that not even BB is sure at the moment and they don't want to lie to their customers if things don't work out. That's ok to me. I will still know the answers to these questions before the game hits store shelves.

The guy coudn't tell the whole story because it was a preview disc. He probably went a little too into the detail to be honest. The version he had wasn't ready for that level of critique just yet. Hopefully some of the things he pointed out to the devs get adjusted tho since it's clear he didn't feel that confident about the game.

Very soon these sites will get copies of the actual game, and they can give an honest review of it and not spare any of the details.

If they DID have the things we are concerned about, they'd respond with a resounding "yes!". There's no incentive to let negative rumors fester.

just about exactly what i was expecting....

Still just a weekend rental for me. The tech is VERY interesting...But there is just nothing else there. A 1st effort game from SCRATCH is never gonna be A-mazing. Football is THEE toughest sport to re-create....

At this point how do you know that there is "nothing else there"? Why wait for a weekend rental (OS's most popular cliche)-make you're decision based on the demo-save yourself $5.

in my area...blockbuster charges around $8 and needs a credit card on file. most other rental places such as hollywood vid are closed down. hell most of blockbusters are closed too. if it cost $8 to rent it, might as well just buy it rather than make the game go from $53 up to $61. if its not the greatest, u can always trade it in towards another game. ill be keeping this one tho just for the sheer amount of randomness that this game will have in every single down played...even if it doesnt "pan out" to being the king of football.

and also i agree with u jaybee...none of us know "whats all there" cuz theyre being so dang on secretive about this game. i cant even decide wat system im gonna buy it on cuz we dont have much details regarding if theyre locking the saves so they can never be shared or not.

There are only two Major Video stores around since after the storm. The one about 3/4 of a mile from me rents video games for $5.44 (after taxes) for five days WITHOUT need of a card. The one across the river, 12 miles away, rents games for $6.53 (after taxes) and you need a credit card.
I just don't understand the prejudging of this game, in many cases well before this GI preview came out. No demo yet, no REVIEW yet, and yet the Nostradamus's are all over the place.
