Re: MLB The Show Baseball Specialists Opportunity
Live in Tucson, but am more than willing to relocate for six months. I can't say I'm the most informed player of MLB The Show games, as I've just played the last two. However, to date myself, I loved me some Griffey and Super Baseball 2020 back in my younger days, All-Star Baseball in the middle years and then graduated to World Series Baseball on the PS2. I am super-interested in the details of the game, like uniforms, the history, park details, and the such. Plus I have a crappy job I'm dying to leave. So... yes I'm interested?Yes, I've been here since 2003. No, I don't post much. I'm too busy playing the games.Comment

Re: MLB The Show Baseball Specialists Opportunity
Russell - I don't fit the profile of what you are looking for, but my buddy BK and others know how much I would love to work on the SCEA team so I have to take this opportunity to reach out to you. (Yes, my resume is already with your HR dept).
I work right around the corner from you off of Morehouse at that big telecomm company....
If you guys are ever looking to hire a SW QA Manager (10 years experience in QA) or SW Program Manager (the other 10 years) I would be thrilled for the opportunity to interview with the team.
Thanks! AlComment

Re: MLB The Show Baseball Specialists Opportunity
Sounds like a great opportunity. I've loved The Show since 06 on the PS2. I work in the gaming industry and would relocate to San Diego in a heartbeat provided the pay was at least a living wage. Gotta pay those student loans!Comment

Re: MLB The Show Baseball Specialists Opportunity
I wrote a long cover letter, which I will definitely not post in here, and even putting this in feels weird but I dont want to miss out on any opportunity...so, the bullet points:
• Photographer for Major League Baseball, MLB.com and MiLB.com, contributing photographer for Choice, and Tri-Star trading cards.
• Digital artist for 18 years (illustration, web and graphic design and multi-media design)
• Freelance and contract work for companies like Hasbro, Yankee Candle, Boston Warehouse, MLB.com (references available)
• MVP Baseball modder (dubbed the Minors Man) for 3 years producing TONS of mods for the community including all minor league stadiums and jerseys (including home, away, BP and alternate) for the Eastern and International League
• Last year produced detailed JPEG's of The Show stadiums with all updates and fixes superimposed, along with a multi-page PDF with visuals showing all suggested additions/changes. Posted on OS.
• Played through High School, still play in men's leagues. Coach little league and scout minor league player profile stories for Minor League News.
• As a freelnace artist, I can live anywhere for any contract period.
• As a MLB photographer, I am as close to the game and players as one can be without BEING one, giving me a unique perspective of the game and the ability to see ALL stadiums up close and personal and feel and see what makes them unique.
• And of course, like everyone else...The Show is on constantly playing every aspect of it throughout the year (and I have to admit to keeping a journal next to the PS3 to write things down that could be improved)
again...sorry to fill the thread with this and it feels somewhat unprofessional, but not sure how to get that info in front of the right eyes.
thanks!Comment

Re: MLB The Show Baseball Specialists Opportunity
I would love this chance. I am 29 and have been a huge fan of baseball since I was 8. This is the only game I play along with Madden. I've very dependable and have currently been at my company for 10 years working in the Securities Industry. I'm looking for a career change at this point in my life. Russ, if you need my resume, let me know and I'll get it to you my friend
<O
I am co-commissioner of TRS Elite 10; you can see how we run things. I would offer you/"The Show" so much input. Please PM and I'll give you my leagues website and resume. We have ideas already on our page. I honestly think we have the best league going, due to my input and effort to make our league great. I will apply the same passion for the next edition.
<O
Trust me I won't let you down. I'm the man for the job.<O
