    Ginn on trading block

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=090...s&confirm=true

The Miami Dolphins have been pursuing options to trade wide receiver Ted Ginn, league sources said Tuesday.

Ginn, a first-round draft pick by the Dolphins in 2007, has excelled on special teams, but he hasn't regularly contributed as a receiver. He had 38 receptions for 454 yards and one touchdown last season.

Ginn's lack of productivity and relatively heavy rookie contract have turned off some teams, and two league executives said they don't anticipate the Dolphins receiving considerable value for the three-year pro in a trade.

Still, Ginn could be a part of a package on the first night of the draft next Thursday, as the Dolphins might trade up from the 12th spot. Clemson running back C.J. Spiller is among the players for whom they could make a move.

The Dolphins are looking for playmakers on the outside and still could make a trade for Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall, a restricted free agent who received a first-round tender.

I wouldn't mind him in Dallas....

The cowboys could use a better return man and he would serve as an occasional deep-threat in 4 wide sets.

I would prefer Ogletree fill those spots, though.

Yeah, trade him for a guy who won't play for the first 4 games of the year...Pretty smart for a team that doesn't have a wealth of WR talent.

Anyways I swore I heard the Dolphins were looking to trade him last year as well. The guy's been quite a bust no?

I'd love to see him, their 1st rounder and some picks traded to Cleveland for their #7 if Eric Berry is not there.

Any news of trading Ginn is good news, but not for Holmes, thats just dumb.

And remember, if you get Ginn, you get the whole family!

Behind u 100%... Roy Williams does not deserve the star on his helmet. I think he will fit well as a number 2 next Mile Austin (a.k.a A-Rod)

Ginn would work great in Dallas, he could contribute immediately as an explosive return man while learning to play WR better. Sounds great to me!

Ginn easily. At least hes had some success in the NFL. Desean Jackson is what Ginn was suppose to be.

Yeah but look at the difference in QB's and their individual situations. The Dolphins have not been a receiver's friend to play for since the Marino days. Ginn could do much, much better, even thrive I speculate, in a place with a competent QB and a refined offense.

False, he had Pennington last year and Henne this year. He is not good, he can not catch, he is terrible, don't kid yourself.

I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Colts uniform. We've sucked on special teams since as long as I can remember. He can be our return man. Don't know how we'd fit him into our offense though, we already have a plethora of good weapons/receivers.

He can be a very good returner if taught how to return, he spends most of the time either missing the ball, getting tackled at the 15 or fumbling.

Yeah I don't know how many Phins games you've seen. The QB play is much better than it seems you think and Ginn cost them 1 or 2 games last year bc of his butter fingers. Great returner... maybe he figures out the WR part but as of last year he can barely catch a cold.
