Looking for Football sim.

Can any one help me? I'm looking for a quality football sim for the pc. Right now I just found out about Roogames football. It looks very good. Is there another I should look to before I buy?

That's a tough one. I highly recommend you try both demos and see which one you like best.

I'm currently playing with PFS. It's less expensive than FoF, customizable, and has an active developer who implements user requests and ideas often. It's lacking certain things that FoF has, but PFS is relatively new and gets better with each update.

Thanks I kind off like them both, but I can only buy one. I'm more offline than online play, and it looks like FOF is a little more beep offline. PFS looks to be more online? I'll wait a couple off days to see if anyone else has any thing to add. It looks like I can't go wrong with either game. They both look like hours of entertainment.

No problem. PFS is geared more towards online, but the updates make it better, and bit by bit, offline play gets better. I'm more of an offline player myself as well. If you see things you like in FoF and want to see in PFS, post them on the forums. But yeah, FoF has a lot things that make the offline experience more immersive.

What about FB Pro 98? It's quite old, but I think it's great. It has an amazing play designer and I like it because it allows you to actually coach the game and call plays. I don't know if FOF allows you to do that.

It does have the occasional crash, but that hasn't been too much of a problem for me.

FB Pro 99 was recalled because there were so many bugs. Several guys within the community tried to do things themselves to make it playable, but they eventually decided it was futile.

I've never personally played it, I just know that Sierra recalled it because it was supposedly unplayable.

I wish the minds behind Football Manager and OOTP would make a football sim. Soccer is alright and I love baseball but I would never need another game if I could have a football sim with that kind of quality.

I still have 2 copies of FBPRO99... lol When it came out I picked up 2 and then all he!! came loose and well ...recall etc...
Still have every copy including before they had NFL lic...

Still my favorite series of all time.

Ah, FBPro . . . what could have been! I still liked 97 better than 98. 99 I sent back in the recall (it was completely unplayable). I can't get 97 to play under Windows 7 on my new PC. Bummer!

I started with FOF and the deeper I get into it, the more I like the depth of the game. It takes a little time to grasp how deep the game plays, but it well worth the effort. Lots of fun for $29.

Cool man. Are you simming games or coaching them? If you're coaching them, how is the play calling aspect?
