I can only speak for myself, and I know I'm not expecting perfection, but the game just doesn't animate realistically, or even smoothly. I know it's early but really, how often do these video turn up looking totally different from the final? It's like the animations are missing frames or something. Idk, time will tell, but I'm not positive about this game anymore.

Wow, I'm very underwhelmed by this vid. It looks the same as usual although the Gator QB scramble looked GREAT but that was a bout it. Didn't like the fact that the head tracking still isn't right and the WR cuts are not crisp with strong foot plants prior to sharp cuts for outs missing.

While I don't know when that vid was made, I know it's about 2 mos, or less til the game final code going gold...but it's STILL about 2 mos or less before final code. I can't see that being of major fixing before then. I would think that bug fixing may be happening around this time or very soon.
Still, though, gotta get my hands on it. Vids don't always do a game justice. Even though Madden 10 still looked like Madden 09, in many respects through early vids, playing it is still fun for me.

Actually, upon further thought, it's not like EA said that the WHOLE animation engine was revamped so it should mostly look like NCAA usually looks like. The locomotion addition will add locomotion related animations along with other new animations here and there but that's about it. I think I was expecting too much based on those facts.

People need to realize that the problems with the EA football games are SO deep rooted and I dont think they will ever be fixed on this generation of game engines. I dont think I will buy an EA football game until they change the game engine or untill they use the new engines for when the ps4 and xbox 720 come out. untill then i think the problems wont be fixed on these game engines that they use

For marketing purposes, thats the wrong video to put out there, lol. Especially, for OS viewers. I'm on board regardless, I liked Madden 10 so I'm pretty sure I'll get into this one.

Man, I wish they'd switch the DE shoulder dip animation to something else, or at least add to it. Like a hand plant to give the illusion of catching his balance or something.

Well the only answer I can give at this point. That someone from the DEV team needs to get on and explain what is going on to ease alot people fears about this video. I know this video don't look great are even good at this point in time. But I'm sure more videos are coming very soon. Even Steve-o himself on twitter admitted that he wasn't even all that impressed with this video. So we are not alone.

This. The video is VERY underwhelming.I said this in the pic thread, but the transition animations are bad, plus momentum and locomotion don't even look like they're implemented much at all. The Ohio State WR looked exactly like '10 just with new equipment 90 degree cuts with no sense of weight or momentum. There were very few bright spots in the video, Brantley scrambling is the most noticeable. This just killed a lot of my enthusiasm. I truly hope this build was made early in the cycle to satisfy marketing. ugh.

Looking forward to new videos of hopefully later builds with more implementation of the locomotion/momentum changes before i completely write the game off.

I'm praying that the full locomotion changes haven't been implement

Exactly. Same engine, same animations, just tuned more. At best it'll feel more real this year--think along the lines of NCAA BB10. Just expect the stadium atmosphere to be better, and tuned gameplay, not a new game. Yea, some of the ugly animations are still there.

Now even if today's video looks good but not great, don't you see a major improvement in the running animations?
