Crosby must want too much money because I would suspect he'd be a cover athlete by now.
So I'm going with Stamkos. Toews would be a good one too considering his popularity in a major hockey market.

I would guess not Toews because they have a Blackhawk on NHL 10. How about a goalie? Ryan Miller?
Another candidate might include Nicolas Backstrom.

06 had Vinny, so I suspect it won't be another Lighting player for another couple of years. I vote Malkin, but Ryan Miller is probably who it's going to be. Who was the last goalie on the cover? Vanbiesbrouck was on 97, but I can't remember any other goalies since then.

None of these guys. Henrik Sedin/ Daniel Sedin or maybe both . a) He scored the most points this season b) They are in Vancouver where the NHL game is made

We don't need Toews on there because he's on Chicago and we can't go Chicago two years in a row. Crosby is too expensive, Malkin I could care less about, and Stamkos... eh.... not too sure.

If I recall correctly, it has nothing to do with money. Crosby has been asked multiple times to be on the cover over the last couple years and he's just declined.

How sweet would it be if they had a main NHL cover and then put out a selected amount of covers for the hometown teams in that area.
Would be a lot of work, but actually quite cool.
