No Injuries?
I may have misunderstood what was meant but if there are no injuries that really sours me on the game. The whole selling point of the game is the natural motion and all tackles being organic. I envisioned some very basic tackles and some very sick tackles. The joy of veiwing the sick tackles is knowing that their is risk involved. If no risk then all the variety of tackles are meaningless.

Re: No Injuries?
I know how you feel bro. But this has been talked about in another thread that just recently got closed by a mod because people where not acting right. But again I do know how you feel and all. But the game is still going to be good despite no injuries. Thats what NCAA 11 and madden 11 is for.

Re: No Injuries?
This sucks but there are virtually no injuries in Madden either. I hope there is still some type of progression that makes getting you depth guys some PT worthwhile.MLB the Show - Cubs

Re: No Injuries?
I would have liked to see injuries in, but it is really not that big of a deal to me. I really don't see how no injuries makes the tackles worthless . They will still be random and unlimited, which to me is the draw of the tackling engine. That is still something we have never seen any football game before.
I don't need injuries/risk other than the risk of fumbling in order to enjoy the tackling. My Teams

Re: No Injuries?
Well at least if there are no injuries no one can claim that it is only a blitz type of game.

Re: No Injuries?
Listening to the audio, they explain why there are no injuries. They are trying to eliminate random dice rolls. Real physical injuries were not ready yet so they decided not to have them until it's ready. Backbreaker 2 should have real physics based injuries. I'm ok with it for that reason.Comment

Re: No Injuries?
I don't have a problem with no injuries or challenges since in both Madden and in All Pro it was more a matter of a dice roll more or less. However NO FATIGUE!
I mean no fatigue whatsoever. I mean what was the issue there that they couldn't solve. I mean fatigue is a major issue in football. Depth means nothing then. Substitutions for your D-line is not needed. Runningback subs mean nothing now. It totally takes away another management option that is specific to the game play.Comment

Re: No Injuries?
With that said I might still get it cause of the new camera and game play elements not done in any other sports game besides maybe 2k5 with first person football. Plus I don't want them to go away leaving us no other football option. I miss All Pro and would love to have a new game to replace it.Comment

Re: No Injuries?
I think we have to remember that this is pretty much an initial offering. It seems that back breaker is trying to first get its brand of gameplay sussed out, and will later incorporate the more finer elements of football.
I assume that the producers of the game would like for the game to grow into a long standing franchise. so it seems like they have things in the right order. we'll have to see the final productComment
