True!!!! EA should get former collegiate athletes from all positions to do there motion capture. From there, they need to put together a live scrimage with all positions covered. This would give them the most accurate representation of football rather than a couple of overweight developers trying to sprint! To me that seems like the most common sense solution to this problem.

It doesn't even have to be a scrimmage.... Just have them run position drills, 7 on 7, and Half Line. For those who don't know what Half Line is, it's a run drill with QB, RB, OL, DL, and LB's. I'm sure EA has the resources to pony up and make something like this happen!

Oh you'd be surprised at the hard luck stories EA can come up with and have people here swallow them chapdaman. Just check into the dreadlock thread if you want to see what I mean. From reading some of the folks comments in there you'd think EA was a couple of old guys programming stuff in their basement somewhere on a shoestring budget, LOL.

Here's how the DE should look:

Trent Cole shoots out of his stance, does a little dip and then goes outside shoulder.

          a) he uses hands to smack away the OTs arm, and rip through, WHILE MOVING FORWARD. He never allows the OT to engage.

          b) look at how explosive he is. He's coming off the line with bad intentions, no jogging, or patty-caking

          c) The QB has nowhere to go. If he tries to 'pull a EA insta-scramble' to his left, Trent has the outside angle on him, his protection will break down and he'll get blasted. If he tries EA insta-scramble to his left, there is a LB looping to a gap on the other side.
--The only option he has here to evade the rush is step up into the pocket.

I've not seen the video but I'm assuming that the OL didn't choose to use his super-vaccuum powers on that particular play?

I just noticed something. Everything including/before Notre Dame WR 18 clip seems more like what we saw from 11. And everything after the Notre Dame WR 18 clip it seems like its from a 10 build.

*edit* The Ray Smalls and the last one with the Notre Dame player #37 video seems like a NCAA 10 build.

Not impressed...looks like a slightly shinier NCAA 10.

Damn. Whats the deal with players changing directions? Its like they are on a fixed pivot axis or like missing any movement in their torso. They kinda warp to a new facing (See: :36-38). Check out the 31 second mark. All the DL turn at the exact same time.

Matt - I know man, it's part of why the game doesn't really feel 'right' when you look at it in motion, great observation.

Im not trying to hate on it. I REALLY want it to be good/better, but I do have some concerns with this video.

I think this is just in replay mode. I mean there is so much stiffness in the players movements. On the otherhand, if it's not then I don't know what to say about the NCAA producer team?! You knew stiffness and repetitiveness was a big problem on the o-line/d-line! It looks like the producers spent a little to much time on those darn Alabama Helmets. This looks the same as NCAA 10, I mean I'm still going to buy it, but the dynasty mode better be damn good to make up for what looks like the same game as 10 plus custimization.

ManOnTheMoon, what are you talking about? They only had 8 EA programmers working on the Alabama helmets for 3 months my friend. LOL.

It was merely an example Odogg. I meant the game looks the same as NCAA 10 in the video, but with more custimization options. I have an earlier post stating my optimistic view on how this isn't the full product.

I know, I was being sarcastic man. In reality I'm sure they only had 4 or 5 programmers working for 3 months on those helmets.
