Re: Madden NFL 11 Exclusive Debut Trailer
new animations? i have a feeling that its going to take me one full game to see them all...i wish they would take the 2k route and just go crazy and add a TON of animations...hell when 2k was around they used say stuff like we "added over 600 animations ingame"
Madden 10 was pretty boring in that department since i knew what animations were going to play out...Comment

Didn't notice any RUNNING BACK PLATES at all. EA please tell me you added RB plates & Flack Jackets this year. Still didn't see any coaches on the sidelines holding clip boards. There should be more activity on the sidelines. More coaches, players in street clothes, water boys, cheerleaders, etc... I know a lot of people don't care about these things but there's no reason that this stuff hasn't been addressed yet.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 11 Exclusive Debut Trailer
Online..Yeah thats what Im thinking.....games too long????, well then why not get back your good ole in game-saves??
Instead they spend god knows how much dev time on this other casual crowd stuff
Im never going to intentionally use that stuff ever.....now in-game saves....pretty good chanceComment

Re: Madden NFL 11 Exclusive Debut Trailer
Yep, still not sure why everyone was so hype about the Locomotion news when Locomotion's been apart of Madden for a few years now. Doesn't look like much still to me. Physics won't be fixed until the destroy this engine a build a new, so don't expect it. But other than that, I'm not even thrilled at these really disappointing features they decided to showcase...well, hopefully they're holding out on the good stuff still.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 11 Exclusive Debut Trailer
Color it however you want, but when showing off "features" it also calls for gamplay to show said "features".
I don't care about these things,I know what I want to see,and I did NOT see it,so therefore for me it's a no buy.
When the fundamentals can't even be implemented correctly, all these "fluff features" are absolutely worthless to me. Every year is the same thing, and I absolutely refuse to go down this "road" again.
All I'm saying is that I don't get how one can judge the whole game based on this trailer which was short and put emphasis on one of the multiple features being adding to the game.
If you don't care about the "fluff" then again, why just base the game off a trailer mainly showing of the "fluff" (in your opinion) feature? What you wanted to see wasn't the main focus of the trailer.
That would be like me basing NFL 2k5 as a whole by seeing a video talking about "The Crib" feature lol (not saying that gameflow is fluff... but yeah... just don't get how people are making complete final judgements based on just this "gameflow trailer").Last edited by Bgamer90; 04-23-2010, 12:46 AM.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 11 Exclusive Debut Trailer
Who is really watching and dissecting these trailers though? We're the crazy people on a message board itching for the next bit of Madden news, not the casuals.
If anything, all Madden info until about mid-July should be catered toward the hardcore crowd. Casual fans don't think about Madden until August or September.Twitter: @Palo50

Re: Madden NFL 11 Exclusive Debut Trailer
I know the interaction with the Community is pretty much gone because of what last year. But I do wish Ian or Phil would come on here and explain what is going on so people would stop worrying so much.

Re: Madden NFL 11 Exclusive Debut Trailer
I think the casual fans will see more of the same Madden and will be turned off by it. However, I think the "hardcore" guys will see more differences.Comment

I can't really be mad about anything because I didn't see enough. That was a 1 min video that felt 10 seconds long.

Re: Madden NFL 11 Exclusive Debut Trailer
^^^ where does everyone get this idea from??? I don't know any casual Madden gamers, no one who want to play online (unless online franchise works well and has no major issues)
The casual gamer wants simplified controls that make sense and to feel like they are in control of the on field moves - for those of us with stick skills the new running controls will be cool, for casual gamers you just lost more than you will gain cuz they gotta learn new controls again!!!
If you play Madden at all, you put time in playing! You have to in order to learn the controls and what EA messed up from the previous year - casual gamers are not buying this game - period - they rent it or play at a buddies house!
I know a ton of casual gamers and they are not playing sports games! I know a ton of heavy gamers and most of them don't play Madden, Madden has a unique following and very few of its population fall into the casual gamer role. At least not in terms of Madden - they might be casual other gamers, but most Madden players are spending lots of time online in tourneys or glitching their way onto the leader boards or they are playing franchise mode for hours on end!
The casual gamers that I know - don't have time to learn how to play Madden because football is inherently complex and the controls are so damn confusing - most would still play if they had left the legacy gen controls, but even then they are not buying the game!
EA needs to get a clue. Online will be improved automatically by fixing core game play issues. Franchise mode, stat engine fixes, OL vs DL, WR vs DB corrections will drastically improve sales within the fan base, and old school controls that make logical sense will maybe bring back some of the "casuals" they lost.Comment
