Thanks for your patience.
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
I didn't mean for it like that either lol. I was just saying, that when saying something like I quoted earlier, its like saying why should they add that. But, why shouldn't they add that is what we should be asking each other.
this looks like the most authentic football game we've seen to date. With all of the information and early reviews we have seen the last few days i have no doubt that NCAA is finally back and will be a game we can enjoy. It will still have things missing or glitches, but it will start to be in that NBA 2k category working towards the MLB The Show level. I was pretty impressed, if the teams all play like they do in real life that is great. Now next year they go the full mile with detail and add an AD mode so the team plays a certain way depending on the coach that is there (think Kelly's spead after Weis' pro style) instead of controlling the coach and just changing the school.
I'm admittedly a pessimist about this game. I've seen this same song and dance before and it's shaping up to be the same this year. I can point out several instances in this video that look awful from a football standpoint.
The 1:07 mark. I understand that players have to be programmed to go to their pass responsibilities first....but the defensive player on the outside knows it's a run for 5 seconds and still backpedals. WTF? And this doesn't get better on Heisman, the D player will do the same thing and your guy just won't block him. Same song and dance.
The 1:42 mark. The defender obviously has to wrong arm that pull and make the offensive player get yards on the inside. I can't remember the last time I've seen a pull block pulled off like that and it happend 4 times in this video. Again, this doesn't get corrected on a higher level, your guy just won't block him or the CPU player will do this ridiculous move to break the block.
The pass rush...nuff said. The DB/WR interaction...nuff said.
It's the same things man. I'm used to it, I just want an improved dynasty and better presentation. I've accepted the gameplay as ultra flawed.
To end on a positive note, the apparel really adds alot to the authenticity of the game. THAT looks really good.
ps stylee, the play at 1:22 is schematically correct. We called it 22 dive. The tackle helps the SB out with the DE before going on to the LB. The technique is terrible as the SB has to get the inside of the DE (that play goes against the law of physics the way it currently is in NCAA's game), but it was actually one of our strongest plays.
holy s**t man can you be anymore of a critic. Look at how picky you're getting about a freaking video game. It's incredible what experts people become in football and how to make video games. And they're suppose to hype of the game they are trying to get you to buy. But all you have to do is open your eyes and see the most recent videos and read the reviews. If you're going to get so picky about a game then just wait for the demo, if you like it buy it, if not don't. But people are getting ridiculous with how picky they can be.
I'm happy with what I've seen so far. I really don't have huge expectations when it comes to sports games.
I'll buy it, play it for a few months, and move on. I think I've logged about 8 days worth of MLB The Show 10, and it's one of the best sports games to date.
I must say this game is shaping up to be a classic.

What reviews? If your referring to the preview that was posted, those always sound they same for every game. Every preview I have ever seen of any game always makes the game sound great, so I don't see why anybody would put alot of stock in them.
As far as the video I found it to be pretty decent overall. I do agree with Rocky about both the o-line vs d-line interaction and wr/db interaction though as they look identical to last year. How exactly is commenting on both those things being picky? Those are both pretty basic things and very important in making a really good football game.
Something I would have liked to see in the video is when he was talking about different spread offenses working, if they would have included a qb read/ qb choice play to show if locomotion actually makes that play possible to run effectively this year. That is a crucial play to alot of run oriented spread offenses and to getting the style of them correct.
Like I said liked the video overall, wasn't blown away by it though and wish they would have included a couple more plays like the qb read play to show they actually may work this year.
As a side note why did they show Illinois running a west coast offense? They run a spread offense.

Illinois has a new offensive coordinator. Paul Petrino. Brother of Bobby. They're not running the spread anymore. It'll be what you saw or didn't see at Arkansas.
