    Baseball Mogul 2011 Review

I swore that I would not mention OOTP 11 in my Baseball Mogul 2011 review. Mogul is not OOTP, so why bother comparing the two? Well, perhaps because they were released around the same time, or perhaps because I just could not help myself, I have already broken my pledge.

What you want out of your baseball text sim will likely shape your opinion of Baseball Mogul 2011. If you want a fun, simple, nuts and bolts simulation of baseball, you will enjoy Mogul. If you want complete customization, immersion and bells and whistles, Mogul is not for you (and you should probably check out OOTP 11 -- blast there I go again).

OOTP is still the baseball text-sim king.

Mogul is a perfect game for the ones who are just trying out a text sim game for the 1st time. Its simple but still gets the job done. Later on though you will want more and that is where OOTP will come into play. Nonetheless a solid game.

      My opinion.

Pretty good for what it is, as OOTP can be pretty daunting for a first time simming.

          Re: Baseball Mogul 2011 Review

I've had Mogul every year since 08 (I believe), maybe 09. I've never touched OOTP yet. But when baseball is 3rd on my list of favorite sports, a deep game isn't needed to keep me entertained.

Hello, I am looking for a realistic computer baseball game , computer or console, that would allow me to play a fantasy league as a general manager with 2010 MLB real player ratings as well as limiting player playing time to real life 2010 MLB games played. I do not want random injuries, only those that actually happened in 2010. Can baseball mogul or Out of the park 11 or another game do this with a fantasy league? Please help!!!!
