    Stealing bases

this has just started recently happeneing to me..and i havent stolen a base since it started...every time i send a guy and he gets close to 2nd there seems to be a glitch/pause in the runner...and i have been tagged out everytime...very frustrating since i was doing welll and leading the eague in steals with two playerson my team..

I've noticed that when I get thrown out, there seems to be a little lag in my slide or something. I'm still able to steal bases pretty regularly depending on the pitcher, as it seems their delivery to home is pretty much the deciding factor in stealing. If they're slow, I make it...if they're not, I'm pretty much toast every time.

      I feel the same way.

The deciding factor for me is the home delivery of a pitcher, Im at the point where there are certain pitchers I never steal against.

Also; if I use someones custom slider with pitch speed over 65, I cant steal on anyone.

Pitch speed and delivery speed are the 2 things that play a crucial role.

Stole six bases off Pittsburgh's Charlie Morton. He has a long stride out of the stretch.

The pirates have to be the easiest team to steal off of. Ross Ohlendorf, Zach Duke, Charlie Morton.

Honestly, I only steal off of guys with long deliveries. No reason to try other than that because I'll be thrown out, be it just regularly or be it my player slowing down bs that happens. Not to mention the perfect throws every single time, 2k really needs to go away from this canned stuff IMO and let it be "dynamic" I guess is the word I'm looking for.

I noticed that I get thrown out a lot more if I do a foot first slide compared to head first.

AFAIK the only things that are mo cap animations are the double play interactions and plays at the plate. I dont think a normal tag on a base stealer is mo capped ( as I have been called safe after a fielder missed a swipe tag ).
