Anyone one know ?
How does "game flow" ...flow with accelerated clock ? When do your men actually line up and how much time do they leave you to make adjustments to what you see the defense doing ?Comment

Re: Madden NFL 11 Video: Developer Series - Gameflow. Gameplanning. Locomotion.
I never thought of that...I think gameflow eliminates any use for an accelerated clock since games are only 30 minutes now. I guess if you combine the two your games would be even shorter.Comment

looked smoother w/better animations than last year but the skating on the field has got to go. there was tons of sliding and gliding. it reminded me of the way the madden games moved on the genesis/snes.Comment

I like the gameplan feature alot. Different packages like 3rd and short etc. It's a pretty cool addition to Madden.
Mapping all the controls to the analog stick is a smart and logical idea.
Gameflow and the whole voice over coach thing looks corny as hell. This whole shorten the game thing is a gimmick and not even really a pressing need to improve Madden.
These are early builds so I don't want to bury it yet but to me the running does not look natural. Maybe I am in the minority here but I just don't like what I have seen so far. The runner's movement does not look natural. It looks like what it is. An animation tech thrown on top of the gameplay engine. It likes throwing an extra slab of paint on an old car. If the car still runs poorly, who cares what the new color is.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 11 Video: Developer Series - Gameflow. Gameplanning. Locomotion.

I did not like this run....I mean it is in the rain, but the rb is able to shift his body up field in a weird way after the juke he did.
I swear I see more gliding in these recent videos than in Madden 10, maybe I'm just remembering wrong....
I will say I like the game planning feature....it would be funny/fun if there was an online mode where it forces both players to use which ever team they pick team's gameplan.
It would be pretty realistic and frustrating funny, if they did a good job researching teams......being stuck using Jimmy Raye's play calls would drive me crazy...but at least I would try to make it work.....almost like a game within a game.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 11 Video: Developer Series - Gameflow. Gameplanning. Locomotion.
That video is an example of how locomotion could fail. Who in the history of football has ever been able to skate directly across the field. That was an absurd example of acceleration. Locomotion kicks in and Arrington skates full speed to the outside!!... just awful.

lol, yeah that is exactly what it reminds me of.....how does that happen? Even for an early build.
I remember running in circles with Thurman Thomas on Genesis...lol..he was a BEAST!Comment

I hated how in Madden 10 players legs didn't move fast enough when running. It's like they're not taking enough strides when running. It looks like they're jogging when running at top speed. This is a HUGE turn off for me & from the looks of these vids it doesn't look like they fixed it. This along with the sliding & lack of physics are reasons that I will skip Madden 11 this year unless these issues are addressed. It's 2010, running (which is the single biggest aspect of football) should be ironed out & rock solid by now. Come on EA you guys have to do better.
Oh & by the way, are we ever gonna get real looking sidelines? I mean the sidelines have been crappy since Next Gen started. I understand that they probably can't get the sidelines to look like the players on the field (due to memory & framerate) but they can still improve them. Why are there only 3 coaches on the sidelines? In real life there's like 10 coaches, a few trainers, etc... The sidelines need to be more populated & lively. Everything we see on Sunday right? Where are the cheerleaders, players in street clothes, waterboys, etc... The cutsceens are cool but that needs to be in real time. I know other aspects of the game are more of a priority but this has been long overlooked.Comment

Hopefully with Gameflow there will be an option to TURN THE SUBTITLES OFF. That would be so lame if everytime you use gameflow some subtiltle messege pops up on screen during the game. It's cool that you'll hear the coordinator call in the play via headset but I will never use this feature if those corny subtitles pop up with it.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 11 Video: Developer Series - Gameflow. Gameplanning. Locomotion.
classic madden engine at its finest! I focused on all the gameplay clips and I am very upset with what I saw, the only way im getting this is if I win it in wal marts madden tournaments and even then I might trade it in for something else...Comment

Re: Madden NFL 11 Video: Developer Series - Gameflow. Gameplanning. Locomotion.
The main problem with the game right now doesn't seem to be the locomotion, but more so how it appears. It probably feels a lot better than the current system we have, but visually it looks like more of the same. Maybe it something with their engine, but even with this new system in place it seems like the players are skating more than planting on a grass field.Comment
