Re: Sideline Camera Men
It's this type of camera man that sticks out for me, especially when a TD is happening right in front of him. (Like the Dolphins TD in the above photo, no doubt the fifth score in another victory against the Jets.)Comment

Re: Sideline Camera Men
Just to play devils advocate, photographers don't always get the shot.
It's too bad though that that guy is always changing film and missing the big plays. Please take note that most of what I say and post is made in satire.

Yeah, I mean if they can have them move, at least have him holding the camera up as if he's taking a shot. It would look much better.Comment

Re: Sideline Camera Men
all of these gameplay issues an ppl are complaining about audiences and hand towels an shoes an gloves an seahawks colors?.. let them fix the gameplay get all that fixed an then make the camera man a priority .... well thats my opinion at leastComment

Re: Sideline Camera Men
I wish people would stop saying things like this. The people working on art/details don't work on gameplay. They wouldn't be "wasting time".Comment

I think the camera dude pointing down is on purpose. IIRC.
It's just meant to be funny that's all.Comment

Re: Sideline Camera Men
Thanks for the reply Michael, I just noticed it now.
I listened to that podcast with sports gamer, you mentioned that you've made improvements which is good.
It is a minor issue. But I watch videos of the NBA 2K games, and just the atmosphere from watching videos looks awesome. Personally I couldn't care less about the game or NBA, but you can tell that they deliver atmosphere.
I also realize that they're dealing with a lot less on the screen though.
Anyway keep up the good work, looks like you're doing a fine job.Comment

Re: Sideline Camera Men
Some people just don't get it. It's not just sideline guys it's the atmosphere it creates.
If your on s breakaway run in real life the sideline goes mental. They don't just stand still. That is the point, to create a high energy atmosphere.Comment

Re: Sideline Camera Men
oh making a "better created camera man" is wasting time ... now the crowd i can understand i suppose it makes u feel like its a real football game if they made the crowd more realistic but it's a cameraman ....Comment

Re: Sideline Camera Men
They could easily the delete that model with little effort. It would have zero impact on development time. The model is static, low-res, and carries no AI. It wouldn't be a major project by any stretch of the imagination.Comment

Re: Sideline Camera Men
Yeah, the difference between the players and the sidelines can be pretty jarring. I mean you can be watching your star running back break a huge run down the sidelines and then you see these N64 looking guys and their strange animations. It just takes the focus away from a positive cool moment and puts it on something negative.Comment
