Canadian Hockey League Confirmed For NHL 11

About a week ago, the rumors of CHL Teams being included in NHL 11 started to swirl.

This week CBC News has confirmed the Canadian Hockey League will be included in NHL 11.

"EA Sports plans to include Canadian Hockey League teams, including the Bathurst Titans, Saint John Sea Dogs and Moncton Wildcats, in a popular NHL video game.

Inclusion in the NHL 11 video hockey game hasn't been made official yet, but all Quebec Major Junior Hockey League teams have been asked to send in pictures of their rinks and jerseys.

People are going to recognize the Sea Dogs logo in Dusseldorf and so it's kind of cool..."

It seems rather late in the cycle to just be obtaining logos and whatnot. I wonder if this isn't research for 2012? Maybe I'm wrong.

Late? The game is released in September. Considering that the CHL wouldn't factor in many real gameplay changes, I'd say right now is a fine time. All they really need to do is get jerseys/stadium/numbers. Anything that they are doing factoring into BAP or BAGM could have been worked on already without jerseys and the such.

I'm not saying it's guaranteed to be in, but there's been a progression from rumor to real news claims as this one is that usually spells truth.

Hopefully we get to edit the CHL player rosters, so purists can add in the actual rosters for the teams rather than generic players.

Maybe they should focus on making the franchise mode more playable. I mean, junior hockey teams? Unless it is linked in franchise mode it is another in a long line of gimmicks EA use to mask there flawed games. I liked NHL 10 for about 2 months until I realised that the harder you set the difficulty the more the CPU goes into frenzy mode.

I liked NHL 10 for about 2 months until I realised that the harder you set the difficulty the more the CPU goes into frenzy mode.

Ummm, when the AHL was first added to the game in 08 it was tied to franchise mode so I don't see why this wouldn't be. And this one feature doesn't mean they didn't have any focus on franchise mode.
