I just noticed... I referred to Braves Park as "a gem of a park" and... In the first photo for it on one of the billboards... Is an ad for "Gem Micromatic Razor" at least I think Micromatic is what the middle word says...

    Hey...

This site showcase's one man's travels and photographs of various minor, major and independent league baseball parks. This site is also a resource for those curious about facts and history of ballparks.

lose the OF stands, which were not always there and you see the shed in the OF that was in play

^ Yeah it'd be interesting to have a dead ball era park. There are a few others like that... In Chicago I think, and elsewhere.

I forgot to mention a few others I considered:

        -Metropolitan Stadium in Minnesota.
        -Baker Bowl in Philadelphia.

I also miss playing at old Busch. I would love to see how Busch looks on the PS3. If they didn't renovate after they made the Edward Jones Dome, it would have been quickly forgotten and looked down upon like the other cookie cutters. I am biased but if there was only one stadium I could have, it would be Busch Memorial Stadium. After renovations of course.

Milwaukee County is sort of like Memorial in Baltimore. The difference is Baltimore won more.

"...Milwaukee County Stadium was an old park without an old park's character..."

                    Oooh... Zing.

Truth is, I'd gladly accept any stadiums from the past.

Ebbetts Field for sure I agree with your first choise! Better yet if we could move another franchise back to Brooklyn in franchise mode and play there.

I think it was called Front Page Sports, anyway a few years back a pretty good baseball game. I actually set the Dodgers up in Brooklyn again along with the Giants in NY. They did not have Ebbets Field but I stole Tiger Stadium from Detroit to be the home of Brooklyn.

I moved the Mets out to LA (Hollywood Stars) and I forgot who I moved to SF, but renamed them the SF Seals in honor of an old minor league team.

I think the Astrodome would be an interesting pick, but I generaly tend to like the old parks better, just because you really wouldn't have ahd a chance to see a real game there.

Some of these stadiums, I don't think, would translate to well to a video game. Bland and ugly with not much personality. Tropicana and where the Jays play comes to mind. For me it would have to be something with ads all over the walls, like the old day, and grass.

Tropicana and the Skydome (Rogers Centre) are pretty much the last of the multipurpose designs to be built for MLB teams. Though Tropicana is especially peculiar because I'm not even sure I'd call it multipurpose. It was built in an attempt to attract MLB, and yet almost seems like they built it with the thought in mind that... What are we going to do with it if MLB doesn't come here??? It's kind of a half-hearted attempt.

The story all changed with Camden Yards in Baltimore of course, and the era of multipurpose... Function over beauty... Has thankfully come to a close...

Though I'd still like to see the Astrodome and Riverfront...

I wish they would ad a classic stadium for every team. I for one would love County Stadium, seeing the Beer Barrel again and that huge black and white scoreboard would be awesome!
