Re: Dallas Cowboys War Room
I really love this move.
While I dont' think Carpenter lived up to his 1st round billing, I do feel a change of scenery and playing in a scheme he's better fit for (4-3) in St Louis will give him a shot at extending his career. With the drafting of Lee, Carpenter was basically being shown the door at the end of the season.
As for Barron, he's an underachiever with a lot of talent. I think Coach Houck has the best chance to tap his potential. Look what he did for guys like Columbo, Davis, and Proctor, all of whom were disappointing in some way throughout their careers (injuries, lack of play, etc) but since coming to Dallas they've been fixtures. Now, Barron comes in knowing this is his last chance and has the types of players, coaches, and stable organization around him who'll push him to be better, hopefully. If not, then the Cowboys have at least acquired a decent backup at minimal cost.Comment

Another headline I did not expect to read today, this from PFT:
"We finally had gotten around to watching the new YouTube video in which Cowboys tight end Martellus Bennett dances in a fake beard and claims to be Osama bin Laden."
Um, what? lol.Comment

Bill Parcells Could Acquire Marcus Spears
According to ESPN.com, Bill Parcells could contact the Cowboys about acquiring starting DE Marcus Spears in a possible trade to make up for losing starting DE Phillip Merling for the season with an Achilles' injury so there is an apparent need. Possible compensation for Spears could include a 4th RD pick in next year's draft or a LB to help fill the depth chart. I'll keep my eye on this possible future trade that could happen during training camp.

This Just In
The Cowboys have signed free agent LB/DE Jay Moore. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Moore will likely step into the backup DE spot for Dallas right behind Jason Hatcher. Moore is a 3 year veteran who last played for the Titans last season.

Re: Dallas Cowboys War Room
We could have a solid receiving group. If Roy Williams can live up to his dang $ that is. I mean Witten, Austin,Crayton,Williams, and Bryant could be a great group. I just don't see Williams doing anything though. What has he done yet?
