    Coach Ratings spreadsheet

Ok, I got tired of trying to hire new coaches and not knowing anything about them except their overall # and the first 3 skill ratings so I spent too much time and created a spreadsheet to show the skills of these coaches. I'm not sure I'm happy with the layout just yet but I figured I'de post what I have so far and fine tune it later.

Ok, some are having trouble with the download so I'll try this.... Coach Ratings.xlsx
Hopefully this works better. I think the sheet also needs to have all the coaches on one long list so you can find a name if you don't know their coaching position. As soon as I have some time I'll upload it also.

Excellent spreadsheet. I didn't see Katkavage the LBC, but I assume it's because he doesn't start with a team. I'm assuming X is an existing skill, O means you can develop to that skill, and - means you cant't develop any further. I'll definitely see if I can print it out later when we get a functioning printer cartridge.

It will be an invaluable reference for anyone when looks to hire coaches.

              Re: Coach Ratings spreadsheet

I know I had trouble opening a file someone else had posted. I finally got it to work by following these steps.....

"I'm using Winrar 3.42 on Windows 7. After saving the zip file to my desktop I ran the file with Winrar. Instead of extracting the enclosed file (like I was doing previously) I highlighted it and clicked the "View" button at the top. This opened a second Winrar window. This time I extracted the enclosed file and it opened fine with Excel 2007."

              Hopefully this works for you.

I got to use the file by saving the file and clicking on the icon of the saved file. We no longer have ZipGenius on our computer, so I have to do that way to use zip files.

                    Re: Coach Ratings spreadsheet

I was going to try and print the spreadsheet out, but it took 9 pages just to list the skills for the Head Coaches. It would take a mountain of paper to list the skills for all the coaches. It's an outstanding reference, though.

Has anyone actually been able to open this file? Seems like most people get the corrupt file message when opening it.

I've been able to open it. I simply click on the link, save the file when it asks if I want to open the file or save it, and then click on the icon of the saved file. It opens right up to the spreadsheet.

I'm using Mozilla Firefox, what browser are you using? I've never got the corrupt file message, it may be because I saved and clicked on the icon instead of opening the file though.
