I see a lot of people go with the predator missle, Chopper gunner, nuke combo, or the harrier, CG, Nuke combo. Its just getting those seven kills for the harrier and hoping it gets enough to get you a CG. I've come close 4 times now.

I love the new maps, especially Salvage and Overgrown (I didn't play much COD4 but I do remember a good bit about this map). Also, how do you guys go about not sucking in Search & Destroy?Currently Playing

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Know the maps, very well. I played Search pretty much all the time and it helps to know where people usually are when camping the bombs, where people usually go when the round starts, etc. Don't go into corners blind. Especially if the bomb has been planted and your defending, just don't sprint. Because if your sprinting, and you see an enemey crouched in the corner, your dead 99% of the time. Also, don't rush the enemey team in Search, take your time and don't be impatient. Patience is a virtue in this game type.
Always use Ninja Pro if you have it. Because people will be trying sound whore if they can. Also, in my honest opinion, use cold blooded at all times. There is really no need for stopping power because Search is slower paced than Team Deathmatch, and people are often hiding in Search, so having the 1-2 bullet advantage is pretty much useless.
Also, sound whore if you can. If people don't use Ninja Pro, use it to your advantage. If you hear someone near you and you don't see that green triangle for your teammates, it's an enemey. Just sit in a corner (I know camp...) and wait for the person to come out. If you confident enough, and the know the maps well, you might even know where the enemey is going.
Use you mini map alot. A lot People don't silence their weapons, thus showing them on the mini map as a red dot, giving you a general idea of where they are. This doesn't mean run after them, it means if they shot near a bomb site while your defending, chances are they are going to plant the bomb there. Another thing to is pay attention to your teammates deaths. When teammates die, they leave that "skull" on the screen for a few seconds telling you where they got shot. This is especially useful if the enemey has a silenced weapon, or it's just you and the enemey in the round left. Also pay attention to the kill feed (especially if there is only you and one guy on the other team left). If he killed someone with a sniper, chances are he's far away, if he killed someone with a SMG or Assualt Rifle, chances are he killed up close.
Another thing too, let the enemey come to you. If you know you saw a guy or you "Tagged" an enemey with you hit marker, never ever ever run after him, just either run away or let him come to you. Because chances are, he'll be sitting prone around the corner, with his weapon scoped waiting for you to run around to get the person.
Hope this helps. Sorry if it's a lot to read but this is pretty much everything I do when I'm playing Search.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Wow haha, thanks for all that. I'll admit I play this game a lot but most of the time I stick with Team Deathmatch because I've never been too good at the objective type games. I feel like expanding my horizons a bit but every time I go into games like HQ, S&D or Demolition I get knocked around and really frustrated. I thought I was a pretty patient player but I guess I just need to practice more patience and letting the enemy come to me. Thanks, man.Know the maps, very well. Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
The majority of objective based games people are clueless and play like its team deathmatch. Sabotage is a joke. Probably 20% of the time the game ends with the actual objective won. Most of the time you plant a bomb, and none of your team seems to care. You die, the enemy defuses it and they try to do the same thing. One guy goes and plants the bomb while the rest of his team is playing team deathmatch.
Or in HQ when half my team chooses to stay back and snipe and not once try to get the HQ.

I see a lot of this in Search. Let's say it's a 2 on 1 for us, I have to bomb going to B and my other guy is all the way on the other side of the map. I plant, the guy manages to kill me, and my team mate is nowhere near the bomb to defend... But I love Search my favorite game type ever, even though some people act like complete idiots...The majority of objective based games people are clueless and play like its team deathmatch. Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
I haven't posted here in a while...but I've been having major success with getting nukes recently. Last week I got 3 nukes in row(i know, kinda hard to believe) and this week i got a nuke on wasteland.
I think the best setup for getting them is to stick with an Assault Rifle of choice, a shotty (like the M1014), and as far as perks go, maybe Scavenger, Hardline, and Ninja Pro.
Essentially once you get to 6 kills (w/Hardline) for the Harrier, you just find a good hiding spot and camp until it gets you to the Chopper.....and then you're practically set to get at least maybe 5-15 kills (depending on if the other team shoots air support out of the sky and if you have the team in a spawn trap) to get to the nuke.
I hope I've kind of helped someone out there with these tips...My Teams:

NFL: New Orleans Saints

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
I agree with Sub Base, probably my favorite map in the game. Lately I have really been liking Highrise and the new map Salvage for some reason. Quarry has always been my kryptonite, not sure why but I'm always god awful on that map. The other day I went 15-0 on Quarry though, no idea how that happened haha.Currently Playing

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
So anyone know how the map rotations work now? Example, in WAW you would get a lobby with a new map, most people who didn't have the map skipped it or you got into a map with 4 people.
However I've yet to see this since the release of the new map pack, each new map you get into is always full.
The reason I ask is most of my friends don't have the map pack. If we get into a room that's going into a new map I'd be the only one playing.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon.
