I know people are saying this new team is going in the right direction with Madden but I think it's too late for me. I have been beyond loyal to Madden the past couple of years but my interest in Madden has started to fade to be honest. When they do get it right my interest will probably be elsewhere.

I totally agree. I've been playing Madden since '92 on the Sega Genesis & after seeing these Madden 11 vids I've completely given up on Madden. It's sad because I like many others have been loyal & hoping EA will finally get it right but I've come to the realization that they probably never will. I mean I noticed so many things still wrong with the game I don't know where to begin. No consecutive hit takles, sliding, suction blocking, lack of physics, lackluster sidelines, etc... I could go on & on. Has the game improved? Yes. News flash IT'S SUPPOSED TO IMPROVE! It's 2010 & this is the best EA can do? I don't want to hear the "it just an alpha build" excuse because they say that every year. I really thought EA finally had a good foundation to build on in Madden 10 (although we're into year 5 of Next Gen) but Madden 11 seems more like Madden 10.5. This is the 1st year that I might just stick with NCAA over Madden. Although they use the same engine, at least there's more to do in NCAA.

Seriously! Are we finally gonna get FLAK JACKETS & RUNNING BACK PLATES? Those are probably the most worn accessories in football but I don't see them in Madden. NCAA has them so there's no excuse for Madden not to.

Holy ice skating batman!

You're definitely on target!! Look at the QBs continue to SLIDE around like they are in a ice skating rink. That''s been there for years. Come on EA improve some of these animations!!!

Show me locomotion in Madden 10...didn't think so. And the sideline tip-toe catch at the very end of the video??? Haven't seen that on Madden in YEARS. Not actually near the sideline anyway.

Locomotion is not new, they've been trying to renovate since Madden 09

The game looks almost worst this year because players just glide across the field so seamlessly. Almost as if there is absolutely no traction or solid ground. It's not a good look to me

Personally I'm not worried. We've seen the running vids, so we know it looks good, or it should. Also leaning towards the idea that some of this is old, doesn't look right. And like i said before, i wanna hear whats the deal w/Pro-tak??? Has it been mentioned or shown ANYWHERE???

The running looks TERRIBLE!! Look at how they turn...or should I say, slide to the new direction. It's like the pivot point is 5 yards behind them. Their axis of revolution isn't inside their body at all. Just a terrible animation.

Madden went from "ah, maybe I'll look at it" to "ah, maybe I'll look at NCAA" now.

What a joke this series has become....

I liked the sideline catch at the end and a couple of the jukes.

Oh, and I definitely liked how easy it was for receivers to get open in the flats on most of those plays. I was hoping they'd make that easier, considering how difficult it was in '10.

Gameplay looks horrible. Looks like a damn hockey game out there. It's hard to even get excited about Madden anymore.

Can one please put it on youtube. The G4 site is so laggy when watching video. Very laggy. PLease post this on youtube.

I had this issue too. But to fix this, click in the bottom right hand corner on SD to take it off of HD. When in high def, most computers can't handle it, so that is why it skips. Did anyone notice the different lengths of dread locks? I know a lot of people bitch about that, so it looks like they've added some varying lengths. I thought it looked pretty good myself, just ready to see NEW gameplay footage with the new lighting system. You can still tell in those pictures the lighting system has not been applied yet.

This video may be old, but it's the engine that I never liked. I don't think I will ever be pleased with a Madden game (Madden NFL '98 still gets playing time from me, but Madden 10 would not if I had a copy of it).

Holy crap, am I the only one who thought that looked way too fast? The players all moved at warp speed and they didn't look like they had any weight to them. The problem that madden has had since it debuted on the next gen systems is the unrealistic physics used in the game engine.

I think the reason its so glaring is because in other games, even in other genres, they have nailed a consistent and accurate physics system.
