what can I do with 65 dollars?

to developers
in this tough economy, these gamers are spending $65 on our game...

to publishers
these gamers are spending $65 on a game that represents us as a company....a game that will hopefully attract said gamers to buy other games Published by us...

I know I have said in the past that I bought Madden used to show my frustration with the series...but it was the only new football game around.......but that being said, I'm still hoping that something will motive me to buy this game new....I have the money to, just not the will....

these videos don't help....heck I don't remember my players gliding like that in Madden 10.....I remember in Madden 98 players gliding like that...but not last year.

it would have been nice if they would just tighten up on features they already have....if they improved "Pro-Tac"....if they cut back on the cheese play....if they cut back on glitches......if they just tighten up on the game they already have, instead of worrying about adding "new" features to justify it seeming new.

still about 3 and half months left till release....that is a long time so we'll see what updated footage of the game will run like over the coming months......seriously, I CAN'T imagine that EA's Managers would allow NCAA to look better than Madden.....I'm serious...it seems unheard of.

Wow, this is a very scary video for football fans concerned about game play. We have all been through this before. I hope this is not another year of broken blog promises, Although Madden 10 was two steps up from 09, I hope that they do not get lazy and take two steps backwards this year; in terms of game play. I hope they are able to fix the huge issues in this video before August.

so just to compare, I popped in Madden 09 on the Wii last night. HAD A BLAST! Players moved normal...and Peyton Manning was having his way with me.

EA: fix what's broken...simple. Don't add more gimmicks like "gameplan" and "locomotion", keep a feature around a couple years and tweak it.

It's almost like Madden needs an MLB Triple Play and NBA Showdown-like overhaul/restart.

cause they can't make a good football game for ****. all these guys who make Madden you can clearly tell they never played a down of football in their terrible Madden creating lives.

After seeing what's happened on this thread, it just goes to show me that this video should have never been posted on OS and certainly should not have a thread devoted to it.

ALL of the footage in this video is OLB. It is all from APRIL, or possibly even earlier. I understand people have concerns, and I'm all for calling out EA when they fail to produce a quality product, but this video is simply outdated, and does not warrant the types of responses people are giving it.

I know I got on someone else's case when they told me, but "Relax, and wait to see what else happens." There should be PLENTY of footage coming out in June that will allow you to make up your mind. Don't rely on this vid that is simply rehashed clips from over a month ago.

The pass rush looks the same. I guess it is too difficult to have multiple DL heading up field towards the QB. Probably an issue where code won't allow for DL acting independently.

I have come to the realization that Madden is for a more casual gamer. You just have to pass on buying the game if you are not happy.

The loco motion looked pretty good. If they can improve on it, this game should be solid.

It may be rampant unstructured criticism but if we didnt do it we feel like nothing would happen. We have gone five years of next gen with a very odd looking and odd playing game of football. If we dont point out their foibles we are gonna be screwed even harder than we are being screwed already.
