I am really confused by this video and everything around it.

I need some facts here. Was this a video preview of what is going to be in madden or was this a fluff video that is just showing people playing around in the booth?

This is what I hate about Madden and EA, they market the hell out of madden but we has consumer never truly have any idea what the hell is in or out of the game until the game comes out.


So whats the verdict of this video?

It was simply Madden video footage dubbed over by Johnson and Co. in the booth. None of what they actually said is confirmed to be in the game.

Good point, I thought of that, but even if it was unintentional, they misrepresented their product at best... and downright lied at worst. Yeah the other guy sounded bad, but hearing Gus live over the game was amazing. I just believe that he will sound no where near that performance in game. It's really not worth it though, consider it dropped.

is this worse than handing over a controller to one of the game reviewers who has NO IDEA how to play football and videos end up being recorded & showing up all over the place

Oh my goodness, Crazy Train playing in every stadium and Gus Johnson making a mess in his pants on every big play. This year is gonna be intense.

did you even watch the video? (obviously not)

cue it up to the 1:00 minute mark....morales spells it out for you...they have a bunch of reveiwers in house....EA is letting THEM do color with Gus

I liked the guy calling the game; definitely better than Hammond.

The pre-alpha gameplay, though, wasn't too impressive. The pulling guards were off. The video specifically designed to showcase run blocking improvements looked much better and I'd assume was from a more polished build.

Releasing this footage was a curious move to me, but it's fun at least to get a look at the game.

Player models are looking great!

I definitely expect to hear the 'like a blood hound smelling something yummy' comment. That has to be in the game.
