unfortunately, injuries didn't make it into the game. But I think it's great that they are not in. I couldn't find the statement of one of the developers, but I recall them saying that injuries didn't make it in because they didn't have time to implement a good injury system.
Now what that means is they refused to put in a random injury system. I love this approach. When seeing this video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4FPMf5vf58 ) from the demo video thread... Guess the potential IF injuries will be in e.g. Backbreaker 2... I guess they will define unnatural movement of body parts and then this will result in injuries... some sort of formula of impact, force, direction of force etc...
Now in that video you see a potentially season ending injury to the QB... If they program an injury system based on what the results of their physics engine are... that is going to be SICK...
But still, I'm glad they rather don't have injuries implemented into their first installment rather then implement some random system that makes you wonder why an injury occurs...
Although I didn't play the game yet (ps3 owner) - from the videos I have seen so far: Physic driven engines have to be the future of sports games...
