If only they would include the Bills' "Shout" song that plays after every Buffalo touchdown. Something tells me they will leave this one out.

Why didn't EA take the extra step with Madden and get television style broadcast from ESPN or even CBS? I mean all you have to do is phone up the EA Tiburon office,

This is the first year that I have seen NCAA Football take the lead on a game improvement basis. Usually they just grab the scraps from last year -- and now this year they realized that in order to truly be seen as great, they needed to do some soul searching and actual progress apart from their big brother.

Madden looks good, but I only buy one game -- and NCAA looks to have the true progress. TV presentation would've made that a different story.

Unless you've seen some videos I haven't, how did you come to this conclusion? All I have seen is some scenes for the start of a game with some ESPN integration. To me, that does not equal TV presentation. Slapping some scene together that says ESPN on it doesn't mean a thing.

Plus, NCAA doesn't have the NFLN to contend with.

i herd it has something to do with the nfl wanting the game to be centered around the nfl network channel so no cbs or e.s.p.n or abc

My bad MJ,I didnt mean the question like that.I really was asking if you were at CD. LOL

I see alot of CD guys posting that same comment about just slapping ESPN on and calling it network broadcast.I was just seeing if you were another one of them, that's all.

I find it strange how the CD guys comment alot but their very tight lip about those EA Sports logos all over everything.

No problem...I misunderstood your post, so my apologies.

The best example I have seen in a game that provides dynamic commentary is NBA 2K10. They use players real stats, how the team has performed over the year, who they are facing up against next week, and so on and so on. It's still not a story based franchise however, as there is no central theme throughout the broadcast focusing on the teams/players goals, or a weekly recap highlighting how the team has progressed. When you're playing a franchise, the central focus should be on the franchise you have selected (primary franchise), it's players, the coach, and perhaps the owner if they interact with the team (like the problematic Jerry Jones for example).

Would be nice if sports announcers cut in with commentary highlighting scores from other games around the league as well, especially if they have an impact on the team you are playing in your franchise. If I'm the Cowboys, is one of the teams in my division losing? What does that mean for my team? Are they winning, again, what does that mean for my team? Who am I facing next week? How are they doing? Are they even playing yet? Or are they scheduled for later in the day? Is there a player from next weeks team we may have a hard time containing based on how the team is performing today? For example, if the Cowboys can't stop Kevin Smith, how will they ever be able to contain Adrian Peterson next week?

The options are nigh limitless, but the key is they should all revolve around the franchise (team, players, coaches, owner), as that's what's important to the player playing the game/franchise.

Oh, OK, I see what you mean. That sounds tight! Yeah that ain't gonna be in lol. Nothing like that will ever be in Madden.

I am really HOPING beyond hope that Tiburon starts to "get it" as far as presentation goes, but then I see thinly veiled frustration from people like Watcher (who WAS at cd) saying that the devs just DON'T get it, and I feel less optimism.
That's my point, they show frustration about the poor rendering of broadcast style but the never mention EA Sports in-game network or those dang EA Sports logos!LOL

Think about it,if they went to CD and EA Sports was the in-game network that's actually staying in the game. Why wouldn't they be able to add that to their frustrations? Some of these CD guys would rather NCAA 11 just keep a generic broadcast if they aren't going to improve the the camera shots/angles.Slapping a real network brand on something that they feel is not network broadcast,is even more frustrating to them. When they talk about EA not "getting it" and "doing their own thing",they mention camera angles/shots and just slapping a real network logo on in NCAA 11.That last frustration is being vented at more than just NCAA 11,IMO.It's not very often we see NCAA Football add something non-collegiate that's not in Madden.

From what I have noticed in the past, devs would have gave some spin by now if a real network were NOT in Madden 11.Like last year with the Extra Point Show, after they revealed it,they admitted it didnt have league wide recap video highlights. Also with online franchise, they admitted no salary cap,no CPU trade logic, etc and put a spin on what online franchise did have to hopefully decrease disappointment. It just makes no sense if you have EA Sports logos all around with EA Sports as your in-game network,to not mention it.Nothing about how last year they went with their own network presentation and this year they are building on that.No simple spin like,"we knew fans would be disappointed if we went with any 1 network so we just continued to improve our own".

I have alot of unlikely scenarios for E3 but this one,I think, has a good chance. My most likely belief is Madden will at least add 1 real network,NFLN maybe and NCAA Football 11 will have two seperate commentary teams.

My more lofty belief for Madden 11(that I refuse to give up on)is,they just slap on ESPN for MNF like real life and leave all the other games to NFLN.That seems like a perfect solution if there is a problem with ESPN vs NFLN pertaining to Madden 11.

Somebody start a OS pool on this and let us put our money where are mouths are! LOL
