They still haven't gotten hot from three, which could be a concern. We'll see how the Lakers adjust in the next game. I think the Suns are out of counter moves at this point.

If the Lakers adjust by moving the ball faster, getting a big in the center of the floor and mixing up the pace to throw off the zone, the Suns will need the 3pt line to win. Amar'e needs to continue to play this well. Can't get in foul trouble, can't score less than 30 unless the 3pt line is hitting early and often.

    We'll see.
Correction Born. Suns got Career games from their bigs.

lol @ career games. Clearly you didn't watch Amare dominate in the 2005 WCF. That wasn't a "career" game by Amare, that was a vintage Amare performance.

As for Lopez, gee, its his THIRD playoff game ever. Of COURSE that's a playoff high. You know what though? It should be obvious that he has the skill to put up 15 and 7-8 on any given night. He can and he will.

Those were career games though. You can rationalize it, but the fact of the matter is you got best case scenario from both of those guys. It always stands to reason that the team that gets best case scenario out of its players will win the game. The difference is, the Lakers don't need best case games from their people to win, and the Suns do.

It also hurts your argument that you have to bring up 2005 to find the last time Amar'e had this kind of game. As a fan of his, I'm always waiting for him to get back to that, but you gotta be realistic; no one expects him to average 40ppg for the rest of the series. 25ppg would be "vintage Amar'e", and still not good enough to beat the Lakeshow.

Please man. I watched every second of it and it those were career games. Yeah, Lopez is still young so he could turn this into something regular but for right now, that was a career type of performance.

42 & 11 off 14-22 from the field & 14-18 from the line in a win. That was much better than the 42 & 16 he put up in '05 off 16-32 from the field in a loss where Duncan dropped 32 & 15.

          Edit: Thank you Born.

We won't need 42 from Amare if the bench plays well. 3-25 won't get it done from the bench.

As for 05 hurting my argument, well....he didn't play in 2006, in 2007 playoffs he averaged 25 and 12, and in 2008 playoffs he averaged 23 and 9 in a system that didn't particularly feature him like before with Shaq there.

Great win for the Suns. Lopez has to keep playing well for the Suns to win, cuz Frye sure as hell aint going to.

Not doubling Kobe is the best strategy to go with, Kobe will get his, just make sure the other players don't get hot.

Damn man i figured Nash's nose was broken, Grant Hill grimaced when he saw Nash face, and Nash instantly grabbed his nose and twisted it back into place. Crazy. He also had trouble breathing during his last free throws.

How is that gonna affect him for game 4??

The Lakers have been getting stellar performances from Odom (his game 1 was a career best) and Artest...look what happened when those guys got quiet last game...Not saying the Lakers need their career best, but they need more than Gasol and Bryant (who both put up amazingly consistent numbers)

This series has gotten interesting, the Suns somehow won a game without having any sort of 3 point shooting. Can you imagine what will happen if the Suns start hitting some 3's? Completely different series then. Also, the bench has been quiet on offense, compared to their normal output...

This is true. A whole lot of C's fans came out of the woodworks during that title run. When they were winning 24 games a year, not so much.

Yeah, but the Celtics won 16 championships before 2008. Pretty sure they had a couple of fans then.

For the 15-20 years that they sucked prior to 2008 (minus a couple Walker/Pierce playoff runs), you didn't hear the fans like you do now.

Agreed, though in fairness every franchise that goes through a downtime has this happen.
