Re: Major League Baseball 2K10 Patch v1.2 Notes

Maybe 2k should make a slo-pitch game. Pretty hard to F that one up.

I only want to know if the patch will fix the ss my player mode of being able to turn the back end of a double play. I mean you can do it in training so why not in a real game. I have played over 100 games at ss in my player and have never turned the back end of a double play. Also I wish they would fix the second baseman not throwing to first on a double play when the runner does not steal and you get hit a sharp ground ball. The runner always seems to get there ahead of the throw and take out the second baseman. I know it happens sometimes but it is rediculous how much it happens in this game.

If that is all they fix then I will be a happy camper and enjoy my 98 rated ss and make the hall of fame in the next three to five years.

    Thanks 2k.

Overall the game is pretty good and I still enjoy it quite a bit. Fix those two things and I will be exstatic.

There I have said my peace and will await the download of the new patch and continue to enjoy my player mode( which by far surpasses MLB 09 the show)

Great game Tomba? The omission of errors & injuries alone makes this laughable!

I am with you bro - I haven't been this hooked on a sports game since NFL 2K3! When 2K3 came out, I would never stop playing my Franchise (constantly played it out until 2K4 dropped) and it feels the same for this game. This is a good fix if the football game that comes out in August falls short this year.

The errors myth is not true. I was playing in my franchise and simming to test out the draft rookies patch (which I believe is fixed because it did not freeze on me when I put my first round draft pick into
my next game). During that game my rookie dropped a routine fly ball which I believe is an ERROR. Also Randy Johnson got injured for 121 days with a rotator cuff injury. So there are injuries and errors they just don't occur as much as real life but they are there.

They don't occur anywhere close to real life. I've seen one error in about 50 games. In real life you see an error every other game. And you will only see injuries while simming. I've played 40 games in my franchise and haven't had a single injury for either team. Considering 25% of MLB pitchers salaries were dedicated to the DL list last year it's embarrassing.

The game is flat out broken with regards to injuries and errors.

Agree! The franchise was basically unplayable plus very few injuries/errors so I traded my game in at Gamestop.

Wow, it felt so good to pawn this off at Gamestop today...such a relief to be done with all the crap. FWIW, I got $30 in store credit with my GS card.

Without injuries in the game I see no point in a franchise mode. What is the point of having minor leagues when you are guaranteed that your opening day roster will be healthy for the whole year? 2010 has been a really disappointing year for sports video games.

Oh and it also bugs me that if you are an NL team, you will NEVER see a ball thrown to your pitcher when he is up to bat. Every pitch from the CPU is a strike.

Pitchers can draw walks from time to time but in this game, you don't get the chance to work the count at all.

I think the CPU does throw more strikes to the pitcher. But I have taken a walk with a pitcher, as well. And in real life, pitchers are going to error on the side of throwing it over the plate. The problem is that pitchers need to have their contact % dropped substantially.
