Well, that's not necessarily true if they add broken sticks off of shots. That would mean every slap shot has the potential to break the stick.

If they don't make that situation very rare, that'll become a real problem.

Certain guys go through sticks like it's cool -- here's looking at you Ovechkin -- but I've never seen Shane Doan break a stick on a shot.

I wonder if we will get more stick selection as far as the flex rating of sticks.
I remember reading somewhere Ovechkin uses some ridiculous rating, like a high 70 or something.

I think it's an 81(Unrounded number means his sticks are personally made). Of course I could be mistaken. At least it's not a TPS Rubber, which you can literally bend over your knee.

The important thing to remember with the broken sticks is. They are physics objects in this game, which has some pretty far reaching implications. Yes, you could possibly trip over a broken stick. And they will break at the point that EA gives them, it's not a randomized number that they will break every 9 minutes. If a situation comes that puts enough physical stress on the stick to break it. It'll break. That's the beauty of real time physics.

Yeah, I wonder if the variety we saw last night will be in 11. Particularly, I'm referring to Buffs slash on Pronger(?) in front of the net and Hjalmarsson's broken stick on that wrister if I remember correctly. That'd be cool if those were in there.

I read that the finnish brand KOHO wouldnt be in NHL11 because of they dont like that their sticks brokes in the video game. Dont know how many players or stars that plays with KOHO but I know that some goalies have KOHO sticks.
