The Oklahoma City Hawks (Madden 2010)

    Breaking News Out Of Seattle:

The Seattle Seahawks have predictably been sold to a 26 year old millionaire named Brian Conrad.

Shortly after the selling of the Seahawks, Conrad announced that he will be moving the Seahawks out of Seattle. Conrad went on to say, "Seattle is a great city, but the fan's just aren't supporting the team the way they should, wins are extremely important to us, but you need fan loyalty to have a winning team in the NFL. With that said, I'm not really sure where we want to relocate. We want to move to a city that deserves it and is a very sports savvy city."

The top candidates are; Los Angeles, CA, San Antonio, TX, Oklahoma City, OK, Las Vegas, NV, and Louisville, KY.

Say Hello To, The Oklahoma City Hawks!

Rejoice Oklahoma City sports fans, you finally have a professional football team to root for, the Seattle Seahawks will soon be, the Oklahoma City Hawks. With the new season only a couple months away, Brain Conrad submitted a request to move the team to OKC, stadium plans were created, new uniforms made, and funds planned out, the NFL granted Oklahoma City a franchise.

"Oklahoma City was at the top of my list personally because they seemed really excited about possibly having another franchise in Oklahoma, with the recent success of the Oklahoma City Thunder and how amazing there fans are, it was a no-brainier to move the team to Oklahoma." Conrad said.

Conrad was also seen in Los Angeles with the mayor, Antonia Villaraigosa, a deal was reportedly extremely close to being finalized with LA also.

The next 2 seasons will, for now, be the last for Seattle in the NFL.

    Logos and Uniforms

The Oklahoma Hawks also unveiled there new series of logo's and uniform's.

      Franchise Rules & Settings

      System: Playstation 3
Roster: Using the Last Roster Update
      Difficulty: Custom Sliders (Basically All-Pro)
      Draft Classes: Generated
      10 Minute Quarters
      15 Sec. Clock Runoff
No Offseason Free Agent Signing Until We Reach the Playoffs

I will be starting the franchise in 2012, the roster is relatively the same with a few new rookies and a couple people were dropped. Full rosters later. I am starting in 2012 because that's the first year that we move into Oklahoma City and out of Seattle. The Seahawks went 7-9 in 2010 and 2011 with the Steelers winning the Super Bowl in 2010 and the Broncos (I was surprised too) winning it all in 2011.

Preseason games, final rosters, and Week 1 maybe even 2 of the regular season tomorrow.

*EDIT* - I'll also edit in the Jerseys and Logos with one of posts above, it slipped my mind completely.

          Preseason Results

          vs. Texans - W 16-13
          at Patriots - L 13-28
          vs. Cardinals - T 34-34
          at Cowboys - L 7-13

A pretty odd Preseason for the Hawks, resulting in a 1-2-1 record. The Hawks also got to play 2 games at their brand new state of the art, Hawks Stadium in downtown Oklahoma City.

Cuts are currently being made a final rosters are to be released by all NFL teams this week.

Hasselbeck Tosses 4 INT's, Hawks Get Decimated

"Just a terrible effort," is what Matt Hasselbeck said shortly after the Hawks 41-10 loss. "We had a couple moments where we thought we could have made a come back, but in the end, we didn't want it enough." One of the moments that Hasselbeck was referring to was Myron Wilson's spectacular 108 yard kickoff return for a Touchdown, the run set a Seattle Seahawks/Oklahoma City Hawks record. Coach Jim Mora Jr. was disgusted by his team's play, "Things are going to change for next week, were not suffering through another losing season.. We had 5 turnover's today, and that is just unacceptable." The Hawks are now 0-1 and are staying in Oklahoma City to face the Detroit Lions next week.

Oklahoma City Fights Off Detroit Comeback, Win 36-23

On a stormy day in Oklahoma, the Hawks were on a roll early and almost let it slip away. At the end of the first half they were up 29-0 thanks to an amazing performance from there defense. Stopping the high powered Detroit offense from scoring and even forcing a safety! The defense also recorded 9 sacks and 2 turnovers on the day!

The 2nd half started off with the Hawks continuing there dominance, Myron Wilson returned the opening kick 92 yards to get his 2nd kick return for a touchdown of the year. The celebration was short-lived though as the Lions went on to contest the Hawks outscoring them 23-14 in the 2nd half. Matthew Stafford also gave it his all and racked up 431 yards and 2 TD's with no INT's. It wasn't enough though as the Hawks prevailed 36-23.

Both teams saw some crushing injuries early. The Lions lost starting HB Kevin Smith, he dislocated his shoulder and is expected to play in Week 3. The Hawks lost starting TE John Carlson, he dislocated his elbow and is not expected to play until week 4, but the Hawks have a BYE week next week so they won't be losing any production.

Tempers Flare In The Hawks Locker Room

Over the BYE week, the Hawks spent some time refining there underachieving offense when an altercation broke out between receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh and quarterback Matt Hasselbeck. Houshmandzadeh reportedly starting shoving Hasselbeck and Hasselbeck shoved back and then it erupted into a full blown fight. Neither player could be reached for comment, but Julius Jones said, "From what I've heard, the fight started because T.J. is unhappy with the number of balls that are being thrown his way. I was surprised when the fight started because T.J. normally is pretty calm and doesn't let his emotions get the best of him."

If what Julius Jones said is true, then T.J. does have some reason to be unhappy. After 2 weeks, Houshmandzadeh only has 3 receptions for 33 yards and is averaging 16.5 yards a game. On the other side of the spectrum though, Hasselbeck has been having a lack-luster year so far, he has only completed 25 passes out of the 54 that he has thrown for and he has no TD passes but 5 interceptions.

                              No word on suspensions yet.
