LOL. Probably could use that to describe alot off decisions over there at EA.

I'd much rather see the sideline players erupt and get excited on a long breakaway TD run. On the flip side, if I'm near the opponent's sideline on a long run, I want to see those players looking disappointed, or even just standing there like "oh cr*p"......lol...

Add in the home crowd going ballistic, and there's your atmosphere.

Don't care much about the cameramen.

So, you're suggesting that EA intended for this cameraman to be included on the sidelines as a long-running inside joke and NOT as a technical oversight?

Because if it's the latter, then this is definitely not ironic. But it does rhyme with another word that I'd use to describe it...

Im just happy to see tiburon concentrating on the "atmosphere" and "presentation" aspects of madden much more these days then how it was before. One of the major issues with madden in the past was how "dead" the game felt while plalying...no excitement and too many things that kept it from feeling like a real game while playing.

Atmosphere and presentation are one of the things i always felt that should be added to a sports game as mandatory, its why people are into sports..we like the excitment and atmosphere of sports games... why dev's didnt bother to put some serious time into this aspect always baffled me.. heck just look back to Joe Montanta sports talk football on SNES and Genesis.. just adding play by play voice to that game made the game entirely on a different level then the other football games that were out at the time... that is a prime example of what presentation and atmosphere can do to a game. MLB The Show is another prime example..so is ESPN NFL2k5.... Just look at M10 last year..while presentation was not as good as i had hoped..there was enough of it for the first time last year to make madden feel like a different madden...in a good way, the play be play commentary really held back madden10...so hopefully this year the play by play HELPS the presentation and atmosphere.

I have always said it in here for years and years that sport game developers need to find it important to add good realistic atmosphere and presentation..to me its AS IMPORTANT as is gameplay is..at least to me.

I really think the sidelines do need work.. the zombie looking players on the sidelines really kill the atmosphere...it sticks out but im not complaining..i understand that other presentation and atmosphere elements can and should come before the sidelines...but even so..the sidelines would help the game a great deal of more time and detail was put into them.

I REALLY think the cutscenes help a huge amount but they need to me much more of them and much more variation. Also i think a good cutscene would be a coaches view while players run off the field towards the sideline to the coach.. a cam capturing this angle would really give be cool to see.. to make sure you understand...what i mean a cam at a coaches perspective and during timeouts and change of possessions.. show a cam once in a while from a coaches view standing on the sideline or even just a simple sideline cam.. how let the cam capture the change of possessions..as in seeing players run off onto the field and players running off the field towards the camera..i just think that would be a kick butt view for a cutscene, during timeouts and change of possession..would really help the atmosphere

It would be awesome if something like this happened randomly, could you just imagine the call from Gus Johnson?

Im telling you.. They need a fan perspective camera view. We should have the option to purchase season tickets and choose our specific seat in the entire stadium. Remember EA said they modeled each stadium down to the tee to where we can see the actual seat number?

                    PUT IT TO USE EA!!!!!

It is the former. And it is ironic.

Some people are missing my actual point still.

Let me make it clear. I'm NOT exactly saying 'animate the camera crew!' 'update the camera men textures!' etc etc.

Sure I specified them in the thread title and opening post. But generally I also mention bringing the atmosphere to the sidelines.

I think it's best we move on from this thread anyway. Michael had a look at it, he's aware of what we're after now. We may not get it for M11, but it's something for them to look at and to improve on in future versions. That's even if we're capable of getting, what I picture in my mind, this console generation.

Alright,I think we hope everyone will notice about this. Everyone is hoping better improvement for the next version. Enjoy playing as well.

actually I think they need annimated also. The camera guys are seen as much or more then the sideline crew really.

I dont want to tell EA how to prioritize, but I'd take annimated updated camera crews over santa claus in the stands any day!
