I dont think hes that good but Ive only seen him play a handful of times and has alot of good press so far. Where do you think he'll be given a full year after adjustments by pitchers and his adjustments .260 - 20, better, worse?
While there is no getting around pitchers adjusting to him he is still a good player and we have nothing to go off of except the stats he has now. By no means am I saying that he should be a top 10 LF in the game, but as I stated before he is barely good enough to play in AAA on the game.
Personally I think that he is our every day Left Fielder next year and Soriano, Fukudome, and/or Nady are released next year (I say move Soriano to right but there is allot of money invested in him and would probably be better off trading or releasing him).
There is a very good possibility in my opinion that Soriano will be traded close to the deadline this year and Colvin takes over in left this year, but only time will tell what happens.

Basically, if this is what I think it is, the contract logic for the computers isn't as good as a person. So now teams are over signing players, paying for $120 million players left and right. With how allot of these players progress, allot will be demanding high dollar contracts and so now you have a league full of teams with only 6 or 7 really good players on a team and you managed your players right for less money and so you have a realistically affordable team while everyone else is trying to be the Yankees.

PM me if you need more explanation.

Stupid questions to you vets, I'm sure..

I just got a PS3 yesterday and The Show was the first game I purchased. I was told by some friends to download these rosters ASAP, which I did. I'm pretty impressed how in depth the creator went with the prospects. I'm assuming none of the ratings for the MLB players were touched though, correct?

        Anyways, two questions..

1.) Is it possible to edit the overall potential rating for a player? Example, Tim Beckham is a B potential. Is there a way to bump that up to an A?

2.) I just promoted Castro from the Cubs AA to the Pro team and then it said that the AA lineup is incorrect and it won't let me move on until I correct it. How do I go about editing the lineup in the Minors? I only see the option to edit MLB lineups from the Main Menu.

Basically every good player is in the free agent pool now. I am in spring of 2017 and I'll give you the rundown of the top free agents, smoke, castro, Alvarez, stanton, heyword, green, stassi, Sandoval, Cain, lincecum, kemp, morales, pujols, mccutchen, fielder, Braun, gallerdo, bruce, soto etc etc etc. To give some perspective there are 52 full overall players in the free agents while there are only 19 playing. This obviously gets annoying as I have a normal team, but because every other team is awful, I smoke them. I simmed an entire season and won 124 games I think. It's just not fun anymore. What am I doing wrong?

The only answer people have told me is to restart and turn on 30 team control and do it all manually, which isn't the greatest solution.

Unfortunately there is no way to change it unless you create him manually which requires you to change him with another already created player as all the spots are already filled up with knights players in the minors, it is possible though because you won't be losing anything because he doesn't have any MLB stats.

Go to your lineup and move the right thumb stick to cycle to aaa or aa.

              Thank you

I've read that there are a lot of progression concerns and that only players with an A potential actually progress as they should, while everyone else declines, is that correct?

Yeah it gets pretty crazy sometimes, I play as the rockies and Carlos Gonzalez is somehow a B potential, not really sure how that happened, but he barely gets better and never gets better than someone like Seth smith, who is also a b potential but starts better than him.

Another example is Huston street who isn't good enough to close in two years and isn't good enough to be in the majors in 5.

                  That's discouraging to read.

Are you able to edit ratings in season like you can in other sports games to make up for the lack of improvement? Also, has Sony been made aware of this? Have they addressed it at all?

Yeah, they give you tools to easily edit ratings for any player at any time during your franchise. There are some bugs, but overall it's an amazing game. And this roster is extremely impressive as it adds so much to the game.

Ok, that's a relief! Can we edit players on any team during a franchise though? If we can, then I have no gripes with the game. I guess I need to control all 30 teams based on what I've read around here...which sucks. Unless I do what I do in NBA 2K10 on my 360, and just trade everyone around until everyone legit has a home to make the rosters balanced.

So what exactly is up with the Royals position players etc? Are they not real players or are they the default SCEA rookies? Same with the orioles of's. What was "missed"?

Hello all, thanks as always for these amazing rosters.

                          Two minor Orioles corrections:

1B Rhyne Hughes is spelled wrong..it's Rhyne, not Ryhne.

Also, Ty Wigginton needs to have IF as his second position, as he has been playing all over the field, including 2B, and the CPU always subs him out even if you set him in the lineup as a 2B or SS.

Sorry for the lack of update last night. I hit a little road block last night for the edits. My parents can't understand why I'm devoting so much time to playing a video game (especially when I'm not even playing...just redoing numbers on it), so I had to spend some time with them last night. I still managed to complete 3 of the 4 AL West teams last night tho. I plan on doing the Rangers tonight (thus completing the entire AL) after I get home from work, and then I'll start on the NL East.

Their faces and some slight attribute changes.
Also....some players will be changed(if they are no longer playing.....at the time the Royals were done....it was still SP and we were "guessing" who might be in the minors.

                              About letter grades and progression.
If you are saying that only A's will progress ...that is not correct. ANY letter grade can progress from season to season.....as a matter of fact a lot of C's and D's will. You are perhaps looking at the in season regression.....I guess to simulate fatigue of sorts. It does not carry over from season to season.
ANY letter can progress or regress. I've seen A's and B's decline.....progress....stay neutral. The same for C's and D's.

.....and in my test simming of seasons...I did indeed see potential letter changes finally. It's impossible unless you note it(obviously).....because you question yourself..."was he a C?.....or was he already a B?...if it's not your player.

                              Just FYI.

Knight can you tell me what moves are being made to the O's and Royals or whatever else needs changed so I can do it myself. I am almost done editing equipment, stances, and accessories for the entire Pirates system and would hate to do it all over again. Basically what I'm asking is what are the major things that need to be corrected?

p.s. I am willing to do the entire sets stances next year. minors everything.
