I hope that the cut scenes make sense this year. I never understood why they leave some of the things the way they are. Oh well.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 11 Blog: Offensive Styles - One Back Offense
Did anyone notice that the defense in Figure 2 had Weak, Middle, and Strong as the LB's? Maybe the defense is gonna get some love in the next blog.Work every day to dominate your opponent. You know, we have an opponent in this state that we work every day, 365 days a year, to dominate. That’s our goal. That’s what you get up every day to do, to dominate the people that you have to compete against and play against.- Nick SabanComment

I don't think the diagram has anything to do with the game.Last edited by Palo20; 06-03-2010, 08:29 PM.Twitter: @Palo50

Well I can deal with the lack of info, but one thing that is creating issues is the "Field Width". The snapshot shows how 2 safeties can cover the entire width of the field. Unliess with the spread out ratings and fewer safeties running under 4.4, deep passes will not exist outside of fade routes. Maybe slower accelerations will help!!
The field just needs to be wider for these Off to operate as they should because they utilize the space of the field.Comment

I just noticed that at the bottom of the play selection there is Y for special teams and X for goal line. Just a little thing but a nice touch.Comment

I'd like to know how these different offensive styles will impact roster limits. I run the one back exclusively and I'm tired of recruiting full backsComment

I feel so ungrateful right now:o. But' I hate when they put something in and feel the need to force feed us unnecessary details. I'm sure we'd take pics over these type blogs any day, unless of course they mentioned 120 ways to win on DEFENSE. /rant overLast edited by Hiro1; 06-04-2010, 01:30 AM.Psn: Plex-07Comment

Re: NCAA Football 11: Offensive Styles: One Back Offense
I didn't play 2010, that isn't an angle in the game? I hate when there's stuff going on OFF SCREEN and u can't even see it but the computer can make throws to players off screen because....well they're the computer.
And yea, that part about "throwing uncovered" is wins the Captain Obvious/We-Watch-Football-We-Know-AwardComment

Re: NCAA Football 11: Offensive Styles: One Back Offense
I think it's gonna be a little bit of both...they are going with an H-back that can slide over to the fullback position and create a standard I-formation or flex out to create the one-back set or go to the end of the line to have a 2 te set...all without having to change personnel. I don't think they will totally take out the spread, because Gilbert was a great spread QB in high school, winning multiple state titles with Lake Travis running out of that formation. I think Muschamp has really changed the culture around Texas as being a great defensive team, year in and year out, and they want to really get the run game going to fully take advantage of this. With Gilbert being so inexperienced, they don't want to rely on him like they did Colt. Our O-line coach hasn't really been able to produce a good scheme for the linemen in the spread...like an Oregon or Boise State, and going back to the down-hill type running game will help.Comment
