New to game, trouble finding team

    Hey guys,

I'm new to the game seeing how I just bought it today. I've had Fifa games int he past, and enjoyed them. The problem is, I'm not a huge soccer guy.

I enjoy playing video games, and watching it occasionally on TV, but I don't follow it much. So, I don't have a team or know of players, etc.

So, I come here to ask, what's a good way of finding a team to play with? I don't want to play in the MLS, so playing with a team from the States is out of the question.

    Any suggestions?

Go with the Fulham Football Club, Gov'nor, and you won't be disappointed.

    Tally-Ho.
It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.

"What? You can't challenge a scoring play?''

I'd suggest doing your research on the EPL teams and go from there. During your "research", you will find your team - something will come pop out at you that will lead you to following them next season and hopefully beyond.
My teams: Leeds United, Central Coast Mariners, Denver Broncos, Florida Gators, Florida Marlins, Miami Heat, Brisbane Broncos.
My screen-name is a combination of my favourite college football player in Tim Tebow and my favourite ever Bronco, Terrell Davis (30).

p.s. Come to Leeds United We are on our way back to the EPL after gaining entry to The Championship for 2010/11. Our fall from grace has been dramatic, our rise to the top will be well worth the wait.

I agree, do some research, but don't limit yourself England. Take a look at Spain, Italy, Germany, and Portugal. I have a lot of fun playing in the Bundesliga.

You may also want to check out the World Cup game, since it does not have any clubs, just nations. You will be more familiar with the teams.

Well, I've picked Tottenham after playing some exhibition games with some teams. I started a Manager mode with them, and through two friendlies, I'm 1-1. I'm really enjoying the game, and it's getting me to want to understand the game more.

I play for 1. FC Kaiserslautern which just got promoted to division 1 in the German Bundesliga again after playing in div 2 for a few years. Kaiserslautern is a city area that is home to a few US military bases.

You and I are friends now. Spurs are a great club to support (some will say otherwise). This past season we finished in 4th in the Premiership and are going to play in the Champions League, a first for our club.

Also if you aren't set on Spurs, look at leagues from your heritage. While the EPL is the "best" I'd definitely take a look at Italy (Serie A), Germany (Bundesliga), and Spain (La Liga).

Fell in love with soccer while in Germany. For the ten years I was there I supported 1FCK big time. A work colleague took me to a Pokal match against Bayern and we got to stand on the sidelines the entire game. I got my face on the jumbo-tron and everything, loved it.

He already picke Spurs but if he wants a nice challenge I agree it would be good to use Kaiserslautern.
