1989 Complete Rosters
After playing with the current Oakland A's roster, I found them to be a bit boring, no offense, no power, solid pitching. I decided to redo the entire 1989 season with complete 25 man rosters to every team that was around then. This was my favorite season, had the two Bay Area teams in the World Series, and plenty of my favorite players around from my childhood. The rosters are based off of who was where at the end of the season. (R. Henderson on Oakland/ Polonia, Plunk Caderet on NYY for example) Attributes (ht/wt, jersey #, rt/lt hitting splits), equipment and somewhat likeness has been applied to all players in this set. Faces aren't perfect, but they look pretty good (pics from 1990 Score set from back of the cards were used). Stances and deliveries for the most part are off, but if anyone has better ideas for them, they can be added to the 80's/90's thread. Some retired player numbers are off, but 99% of player numbers are good. All major league teams from the time are done (updates when I get them will be applied). The Rays are subbed out for the "Major League" movie Indians/Yankee players (most are done, will be updated later. Other movie characters will be put on the D-Backs, not sure yet what to do with other 2 teams). Good to see that the late 80's rosters are getting so much love in this forum. I hope you enjoy them, they are a lot of fun to play with. They'll be uploaded today under the name: 1989 Schnell RostersLast edited by pjsnell10; 06-05-2010, 05:51 PM.Tags: None -

Re: 1989 Complete Rosters
I've added everything that has been posted in the 80's/90's thread, and whatever else I can remember from memory. Got the old baseball cards out and slowly finding stuff that looks as close as possible. School gets out on Friday (I'm a middle school teacher), should have a bit more free time to add more stuff. My "Major League" Indians, and baseball movie stars (D-Backs) are nearly done as well. I'm constantly tweaking things as I see them. Again, any help on the stances/deliveries would be much appreciated.
*Also if anyone could upload these onto here, feel free to, I'm not sure how to do that on here.Comment

Re: 1989 Complete Rosters
Hey are these still up? I went all the way back to page 25 in vault and could not find them, possibly breaking my GF's makeup mirror in the process. I always have a devil of a time finding anything in the vault. Thank you for any help.Comment

Re: 1989 Complete Rosters
Last I checked, they were downloaded 18 times, just hit square on the # of times downloaded, I think they were on page 8 as of last night.
On a side note, if anyone can tell me how to compress them onto winrar, I could post them on these boards as well.Comment

Re: 1989 Complete Rosters
Hope this works. Here are my rosters as of today. Added a few extra players to the D-Backs, "Major League" Indians (Rays) still need two relief pitchers. Made a few tweaks since the last ones were posted here and there. Enjoy.Attached FilesComment
