Re: How do you play your franchise?
I only play NBA Finals games. I take a team like Detroit dump serious payroll, try to be the worst team in the NBA, and then draft John Wall. Then I sign Carlos Boozer, Joe Johnson, and Ray Allen. Then I win the championship, it's so easy. The key is to trade Rip Hamiltion, Tayshaun Prince, and Charlie Villanueva for Jermaine O'Neal. It works every time. I go from there, and really start to cut payroll. -

Re: How do you play your franchise?
Depends. This year took longer as I had to restart as originally I just played with the Bulls. Because of the bad AI team management I had to restart with 30 user controlled teams while running primarily with the Bulls. I usually try to get two games a night so a couple good months. At the same time I'm happy I restarted as I'm enjoying managing the entire league.Comment

Re: How do you play your franchise?
I shut CPU trades OFF(the AI logic is ********, I've seen players get traded three times in one week). Besides, it's more fun when the main guys stay with their teams.
As in Madden, the first year I don't make any moves. I play with the cards I'm dealt.
No trades. Only build through free agency and the draft.
I play 58-game seasonsComment

Re: How do you play your franchise?
I really don't mind the unrealistic trades in association so I turn CPU trade on.
And I just play games I feel like playing and simulate the ones i dont.Phoenix Suns | Boston Celtics | Tennessee Titans | Boston Bruins | Chelsea FCComment

Re: How do you play your franchise?
I control all 30 teams, make the same realistic big name trades plus a few minor no name tweaks. While I only play with one (the Knicks), controlling all 30 is fun come the off-season. I like to be very realistic with the game, and I do let the CPU do their own scouting and handling injuries.
I play all the games with the Knicks, but will occasionally play with some other teams for variety or when I'm tweaking sliders. My Dynasties

Re: How do you play your franchise?
I just got the game maybe a week ago or so, and just started my Association the other night. Aside from absolutely sucking to the point of wanting to chuck my controller through the TV, I typically take it on a week by week basis and pick out the big time game of the week to play, and sim the rest. At least that's what I'm doing so far.
Through November, I currently have a 6-8 record with the Magic because the games I actually play, I can't freaking buy a win. Plus, the simulations have f'd me over on a couple bad losses. I managed to win my first game, against Philly, going into overtime after building a lead of 20+, and then I managed to beat the Celtics, holding on after they narrowed the lead to 2 after I built it to nearly 40.
Other than that, the games follow a very basis routine - CPU gets a couple basket lead on me in the early goings, and then it just gradually builds to 6, 8, 12, 15, I cut it down to about 8, 6, 5, making myself think I have a shot and then the CPU just goes off again. So needless to say, my franchise is not going very well right now.Comment
