Like others have stated, these are all nice additions but if CPU schools don't recruit to their styles it's meaningless.

I'm holding out hope they do, since they are touting 120 ways to win.

I really enjoyed all 3 blogs. I am glad recruiting was improved, it is the biggest part of dynasty. I also hope teams recruit to their systems.

I have a question though. What is this "coaching carousel" that everyone is talking about. I tried to find it in a blog, but I couldn't find it, and everyone is talking and hoping for it. Would this feature just add the ability to hire/fire coaches? Why would this be an amazing feature? Could someone please clarify this for me?

Because it happens in real life. Some coaches go from one team to another all the time. Brian Kelly at Notre Dame replacing Charlie Weis is one, and there are plenty more examples. It gets boring when all the coaches stay at one place on the game until the end of dynasty. People move, things change, and that's why its an exciting feature.

Just because the CPU can beat me out for recruits doesn't mean that teams with 50% of their running plays as QB Options will stop recruiting pocket passers and therefore being positively annoying to play against.

We won't know if these changes REALLY help the game until we've played it for a few weeks. Until then, I'm not getting excited over 3 recruiting blogs that didn't really contain that many improvements to the system.

It adds some level of realism. Same could be said about "what good is a college football game without real players."

Well if some think the recruiting is a big thing thats fine because with that has to come coaching changes because everything has to play out in order to go togather. So Im with all that feels to make this game the best and not feel like were playing last years game, They have to add coaching changes..

Hypothetical: You're controlling at team from the Big Ten.

Now let's say Michigan never gets it going with RichRod and continues to struggle. After two seasons, he's out, and Urban Meyer is in.

Meanwhile, Ohio State continues to dominate the conference, but out of nowhere, Tressel heads off to coach, whoever ... let's say Texas A&M. Ohio State hires some "up and comer" from the MAC.

In another surprising move, Purdue has managed to lure Bob Stoops away from Oklahoma.

And in the real shocker, Rich Rodriguez lands of all places at Penn State to replace the now-retired Joe Paterno.

Now let's cut to five years later ...

                          Michigan = Florida
Penn State = West Virginia (RichRod era)
Ohio State = 6-6 type team
                          Texas A&M = Ohio State
Purdue = three straight conference titles, perennial top 5

Obvious just a quick off-the-top-of-my-head example, but that would be the idea, and, imo, it would be awesome.

Idk if anyone brought this up and this is definitely a glass half full kinda look... But, maybe they didn't mention anything pertaining to the cpu recruiting to their team's system because coaching carousel is in.

They don't mention it because teams recruit to specifically the coaches system and not the schools system?

Well, as you titled your situation as hypothetical, I'm not going to rip you for these predictions, but I think there would be a balance to the way these things shake out in the Big Ten and elsewhere. I do not think Ohio State would ever turn into a perennial 6-6 type team because of the tradition and facilities there. OSU will always have a recruiting pull that a team like Purdue will most likely never have. The style changes, for Michigan and Penn State, would probably be the most accurate thing about your theory, I can see a successful coach implementing his system and school's styles changing. There also has to be a logic system implemented for coaches similar to the logic of a recruit when it comes to signing with a school. Why would Bob Stoops ever leave Oklahoma for Purdue? What would make a successful Jim Tressel want to leave Ohio State? Why would Urban Meyer leave the recruiting hotbed of Florida for Michigan? There have to be reasons behind the changes.

Not being mean here lol, just trying to improve on your theory.

On that note, I don't know if I would want coaching changes in this game because it would take a while to get it right.

Also, on my third point of this post, the addition of half tackles and half sacks is even more promising when you consider that it may have something to do with locomotion and new tackling animations or new tackling engines?
