    New WWE game???

    Quote from LOP

"- Jim Ross noted on his blog that he will be working on a new THQ-produced WWE video game soon where he will be commentating alongside Jerry Lawler. Apparently the theme of the game will be WWE Legends competing with current Superstars. Ross says the concept explained to him was "really cool" and that he starts voice-over work in the next few weeks."

This sounds like an interesting idea, hopefully we can get Randy Savage in this one!

Oh Marcus, you have sum explainin' to do

That could be it, heres to hoping they keep the SVR controls and not the LOW controls. Either way I like the sound of the legends being back in a game. Unfortunately I can not get into the current roster.

Professional Wrestling’s Hall of Famer and living legend Jim Ross is back with his powerhouse bbq products.

It looks like WWE has lined up a really cool, THQ video game for me to work on and that I will likely be broadcasting along side the King in the game where Legends compete with active Superstars. I'm not sure of the release date or the creative details, etc but the concept, as explained to me, was really cool. I hope to begin my voice overs in the next week or two. We're burning daylight on this one and need to get rocking. I'm ready!

Ahh, there is the source, thanks Steve. I'll have to pick up some BBQ sauce while I'm there.

              Looks...interesting. There's certainly a place for a more arcade-ish game, I just hope there's a demo at some point.

The SDvsRaw 11 news is awesome. Can't wait for some videos to actually see it in action.

                  Re: New WWE game???

Well, I think there is definitely a place for an arcade version of the game as someone mentioned but I definitely like the sound of the weapons physics in the SVR game. Also, hoping that we may get legends in SVR as well. Even if its DLC, I would gladly pay for them, I only use the old guys anymore and the only way to get them is download caws. Nothing wrong with that but it would be nice to have them come right from THQ/Yukes. Looking forward to hearing more.

So how is this game different from LOWM, other than not having to import the current roster? I think Legends was pretty bad and boring after about 3 hours and in my opinion it was due to the arcade factor of the game. This is just my opinion but the guys that are old enough to want to play with the legends are more of the sim crowd and a legends game should play that way.

A game like All-Stars would probably be enjoyed by children. But then THQ/Yukes will probably put legends in there who kids wouldn't care about having. Why can't they just make a game for old schoolers (minus the modern day guys like Cena) with SD vs Raw controls, where the wrestlers look exactly how they did in reality just like what they do for SvR??.. I just can't fathom it.

If this turns into anything similar to WWE Legends it will be another failed attempt at Nostalgia. One thing I always think about is if companies are going to remake movies, then why not recreate games? Perhaps come out with a WWF Royal Rumble (SNES/Genesis not the craptastic Dreamcast one) or even WWF Attitude? Just modernize it with the Smackdown vs. RAW controls or something along that line?

                        Who knows...perhaps I'm just a nostalgia freak.
